Thoughts on single-player games that imitate the feeling of playing an MMO?
I wish the .hack games were actually good because the atmosphere is so incredible.
>>726774196Always fun.I enjoy.
how many games are there in this genre?
>>726774196i like them, but the only one that has made feel back in the good mmo days is CrossCode
>>726775145Top of my headSAOXenobladeKingdom of amalurGedonia Erenshore
>>726774196any answer other than .hack// is outing yourself as a retarded zoomer>>726775251retarded zoomer
>>726775145however many SAO games there areKingdoms of AmalurXenoblade ChroniclesFinal Fantasy XIISWTOR (pretty much)Kenshi
>>726775326It was already mention, you Jeet.
i feel like all these games lack large scale npc (as in the other "players") simulationsi don't think i want llms powering them, but a system of needs and goals that make them move around and do things a real player wouldi guess i want an autonomous mmo population simulation
>>726776350.hack GU has a lot of NPCs that just walk aroundSame with some of the SAO games
>play AzerothCore (singleplayer WoW)>it's a better singleplayer game than actual singleplayer gamesWhy don't people just use MMOs as the standard for making RPGs
>>726775251>>726775327adding ones that play like mmo'sWhite Knight Chronicles 1 & 2Earth Seeker (Wii)Sword & Fairy 6Xuan Yuan Sword: The Gate of Firmamentbut none that actually fit in an mmo world beyond hack and sao>>726774264agreed, I think fragment was one step closer to being ideal
i guess sacred 2 counts?
does solo pso count?
>>726775145Final Fantasy XIV
>>726774264the GU games I found to be pretty enjoyable but I can never get very far in the original series, I usually tap out early into the second game
>>726774196Literally .hack for me is like the most definitive answer.
