The base game ended with a cliffhanger for Naoe's side specifically, Yasuke's side was completely finished with a satisfying conclusion.Claws of Awaji finished Naoe's side and provided an epilogue. The story's completely done. Any content they add at this point has nothing to do with the Shinbakufu or Templars that they took out. There is no Templar presence at all in Japan as of the ending of Claws of Awaji, only the Kakushiba Ikki (Japanese Assassin Brotherhood but not formal Assassins, they don't have a connection to any other sect since Naoe brought it back after her dad was killed). The only thing they didn't address is if Hanzo will come back to it even though he's loyal to Naoe now since it means having to explain to Tsuyu that he's responsible for her husband's death..We know from other AC games and the comics that Japan is the strongest Assassin group in Modern Day but that's about it, so they could expand on that in future content. Right now the only content they announced outside of this AoT crossover is a patch featuring the Isu since there was literally zero Isu content at all in the game or DLC.
