Advertising. Companies want to read your mind, and they are trying. Spotify tried to predict my period, and suggested a play list based on the timing. Everything is trying to keep tabs on you, their ideal world is one where you feel "understood" by subscription services.
>>
>>727250935
I'd truthfully prefer the idea that all this invasive tech is used for operating police states to that it's for selling products more efficiently. It would just be less stupid
>>
>>727250935

A lot of large companies have a product/service that already sells as is. People already like it, use it, buy it, consumes it.
BUT, the corpo and everyone in it need to find some busywork to keep the pretense that they're "working" during their work hours so they come up with random bullshit to excuse their inflated paychecks, otherwise their superiors will start trimming the company. Or simply the company needs to pretend it's constantly growing by making up random shit to do.
Either way the result is discussion, memos, meetings and implementation of BULLSHIT that nobody asked for and nobody needs and/or wants, but they have entire marketing divisions (that have nothing else to do) working around the clock to make you like the BULLSHIT that they came up with that complicates shit for you.
Eventually entire companies become staffed with these busyworkers that just peddle total nonsense to excuse their "worth" to the company. Just chasing the latest magic feature that everyone will love! The marketing division said so!

So after a bit of research Wayland is apparently some graphics protocol that is better, but more unstable than the old one (x11?). Cinnamon is the graphical user interface I've installed on my Mint and that apparently doesn't support Wayland yet. People on forums are saying it's the future, but Mint development is stability first so it's probably still a bit of time before it's fully implemented.

I'm personally using two monitors with different refresh rates and resolutions and it has worked about as well as it did with windows. I'll probably manage until it's implemented in the future.

Nigger RAM went up from $120 to over $900 for the same thing within the span of a month. That isn't being poor that's just ridiculous. 64GB of RAM costs more than a fucking video card now. In a decade or so they'll have (better) predictive algorithms that identify malcontents, and autonomous drones with which to deal with them.
If there was ever going to be a time with which there was a mass uprising that resulted in elites being guillotined, it would have been as a result of the COVID era policies that shat up the living standards of millions, no, billions of people.
It's not happening, and the timeframe for which is was plausible is rapidly fading, or has already faded.

We failed the trial run so what chance do we have against a real one?
>>
>>727245559
Xbox killed itself.
The original intent of the console was to split PC into spreadsheet office/internet shit and graphical acceleration gaming and workstation shit so that they could leverage more control over the PCI expansion market.
Eventually base PCs would just not have support for expansion cards and you would need a locked down workstation DirectX box for anything with graphical acceleration. With rising internet speeds, the next step would be for you to be reduced entirely to a dumb terminal and you would rent time on an externally hosted mainframe with graphical acceleration.
This luckily fell through, and so did their attempt to become software middlemen with the Windows store and all the APIs they pushed through with the 360 like GFWL and Xinput.

You know what, I was about to post a whole spiel about how extremist groups (i.e communist, NatSoc, anarchist, etc groups) were largely curtailed in the post-war to roughly the mid 10's both politically and through "direct action", but I'm interested in your take.

>>727254897
You haven't felt any economic impact as a result of the response to COVID? I find that surprising.
Regardless, while you wouldn't find this particularly troubling, normalfags are a bit more socially needy and require social contact for good health. And since we're talking about the masses uprising (this would never happen btw, but I'm pretending it's plausible), this would be a stressor.

>>727255017
That's because COVID was essentially just a Flu. Easy to spread, low lethality, burns out quickly.
Measles is primarily lethal with the very young and isn't as virulent as the cold, still it would do damage, particularly if a vaccine couldn't be developed (very unlikely).
Ebola or anything like it will never spread as virulently (it requires contact with bodily fluids).

I use Win11 now, but it'll be the last time I use Windows. I'm not upgrading to 12 or whatever the next is. Once Linux gets better HDR support and so on, I'm making the switch. Probably in a couple of years.

Simple really, Communism and Natsoc never went away. Given what we seen in recent time in both America and Europe I'd argue that Natsoc is still going strong, they learned from the past that violence doesn’t work so instead they followed the more legitimate path of getting political power through the democratic system and then using the same system to dismantle it and empowering themselves. Especially in America
>That's because COVID was essentially just a Flu.
I know, it was still a trial run that most countries failed at and yes I know Ebola doesn’t spread through the airways but it was the best example I could think of. Should I have gone with Anthrax instead?

x11 has been more unstable than wayland for a long time. x11's code is a huge mess that was deemed unmaintainable by its own developers. it's full of old shit that is no longer relevant and works mostly through hacks.
wayland is still rough on nvidia because nvidia but other than that it depends on the compositor, if you use mutter and amd for example you'll get a much better and secure experience on wayland.

The real reason is that players don't want unpredictable boss AI. They want recognizable patterns.

It flips a coin who to attack and that's about it. Even if you wanted more you could just read the stats and add it to the calculations. Wilds has some monsters reacting to players getting hit attempting a follow up but nothing more.

>Simple really, Communism and Natsoc never went away.
I didn't say they "went away", but Marxist agitants and thinkers were, to put it bluntly, cucked into being shills for a fundamentally flawed ideology (even more so than orthodox/leninist/maoist ones), and NatSoc was treated by lifting anything that appeared beneficial (8 hour work day, rocketry innovations, etc) and then suppressed heavily with a velvet glove.
In short, the latter has been politically irrelevant for a century and a bit, and the latter lost its last remaining legitimacy once the Soviets collapsed.

>Given what we seen in recent time in both America and Europe I'd argue that Natsoc is still going strong
America is barely above 50% White, and the Europeans have not backed down on allowing mass migrations into their cunts unabated. How is that NatSoc in any way, shape, or form?

>they learned from the past that violence doesn’t work so instead they followed the more legitimate path of getting political power through the democratic system
Name a relevant NatSoc party.

>Especially in America
Anon, I hate to break it to you, but "MAGA" isn't NatSoc. Not even close. Not even the opposition (lead by Spic Fuentes) is. There are no relevant NatSoc groups.

>Viral contagiousness
I'm uncomfortable commenting on that or correcting that as my only interest in COVID is in the apparent lack/miniscule amount of political blowback, I'm not that confident in my knowledge of infective diseases beyond a surface level knowledge.

>How is that NatSoc in any way, shape, or form?
Have you seen what Orban has been doing to Hungary? How about Italy where the current prime minister is literally a student of Mussolini ideology, you also can't deny the rise of other far-right parties in nations like the UK, Germany, Spain or Croatia. There is also Turkey which is right on the edge of Fascism
>but "MAGA" isn't NatSoc. Not even close
You really say that when Stephen Miller is in government, true MAGA isn't really anything because Trump isn't anything but the MAGA movement itself has all the building blocks of NatSoc and all it takes is someone like Miller for it to go all the way

merkel was a commie during her younger years, was communism in germany on the rise when she became chancellor? current italy PM is pro-EU, pro-NATO. that can't be said about anything past center-left (or far right, of course.)

>Have you seen what Orban has been doing to Hungary?
Orban is an exception as far as I'm aware

>Italy
She has done absolutely nothing to curtail migration, hell, I think she's even one of those "young leaders" proffered by the WEF.

>you also can't deny the rise of other far-right parties in nations like the UK, Germany, Spain or Croatia
I'll deny the UK one, which is literally just controlled opposition which is more concerned with Israel's right to exist and Indians than the actual British people, and Germany will NEVER allow the AFD into power (and even then, similar issues apply).
Spain and Croatia I have no interest in since, much like with Hungry, their secondary powers within the EU and Europe.

>There is also Turkey
You're trolling.

>You really say that when Stephen Miller is in government
Oh fuck off. I should've read that all the way through before responding by point.

The user? It isn't about the user it is about improving their product. It stopped being about you 2 decades ago. Now it is about trying to get rid of you but doing it in the most seamless way possible. We've been in caretaker mode since 2009 and covid was the powers that be realising they need to twist the knife before we die.

I don't think you can even call that AI, a monster rolls on a target and then sticks with it for a couple of attacks, that's pretty much it.
Not like asking a llm who to attack is much smarter than your everyday ai.
The game only has a few data vectors like distance to target, the damage they dealt in a timeframe, current hp. It's not hard to make a good guess who is a threat.
What's actually difficult is decide where a monster would move and what attack it would choose in a reasonable manner, even more so without reading data or inputs.
Contrary to popular believe, you don't want a perfect ai that always does the best decision.
