I've played Black, I've played 2 and I've played Razors Edge, I have to say that I think I despise Ninja Gaiden
The combat is sometimes fun but its surrounded by so much annoying cancer

Master Ninja absolutely uses different enemy setups, with upgraded enemies having different, more behaviours. It's actually probably one of the more common complaints that the only way to get the different enemy layouts means you also have to deal with the increased damage.

The "bad" things in these games actually just make them better because the games are ludo. Something like NG4 is shit at the very core and made by retarded amateurs so its just rotten shit all the way through, but Itagaki putting something like the worm swamp right after the worm tunnel in vanilla NG2 is comparable to something like the frenetic editing and music in a Shinya Tsukamoto film, intended to break your mind. Itagaki taps into true ludo of what it means to become a ninja, suffer through grueling circumstances with eternally developing stamina and killer instinct until you're simply unphased and proceed with the mission. It's ironic that yakumo keeps saying this line when the entire game he's in is focused on removing everything that made this franchise what it was and turning it into generic "learn da enemy movesets and dodge/parry them" zogslop in the vein of any normiecore souls game. I think we should start calling them reactionslop because the term "parryslop" is honestly a bit too limiting and specific. it all started from the rollslop that even literal quadruplegics could beat on dancepads by just memorizing boss movesets

I just learned every weapon in NG4 has its own Bloodraven Shuriken attack, including DDB. I’d say they should tutorialize that better but I also evidently missed BR Kage Hikuro having the same just-charge mechanic as the hammer (albeit not tied to hits)
