I'm currently running into a problem where I like playing fighting games but I'm finding that the playerbase is way too toxic to truly enjoy. It's one thing about being slammed for playing my character online and that I'm low skilled and I'm a spammer. It's another thing when it carries into the game and I can't even get a rematch. What character can I even play in Tekken 8 where gamers don't act like total bitches?
what
>>727506703What was the point of your post? I put my thoughts clearly.
>>727506072Play whatever character you enjoy mate, they wouldn't call you low skilled if they were winning.
>>727506072Everyone is a pussy bitch in Tekken ranked, but I'd say you're more likely to get full sets if you play someone like Kazuya which is a character that everyone knows how to play against. I so wish they would force full set in the next season because I'm a big fan of stance characters like Ling and Raven.
>>727506727to express my disbelief at what i just readstop being a baby anon shittalk comes with the territory of fighting games im afraid so either get used to it or stop playingor play something other than kekken like vf where the playerbase is generally pretty chill
Just have fun in tekkino8
>>727507068There's a lot of weird guys like you.
>>727506072character, rank, hours played and tekken prowess?
kill yourself
>>727509273I usually only play QP. I'm learning Xiaoyu right now and I'm really bad in her so I probably play at a orange rank/purple rank level. I used to play Alisa around 150k prowess at medium to high blue. Barely any rematches. Lots of hate mail.
>>727509489well yeah alisa carries players into high ranks effortlessly so its understandable. xiaoyu at least requires more time and dedication to be good with her.as for what character can you play so that you arent called a bitch: none.not even kazuya, paul, devil jin, armor king.... you are gonna be called a bitch regardless. just less often. people get heated up in competitive games
>>727510774I've been in worse fighting games with worse metas and Tekken still has the most toxic saltiest players I've ever seen in my life.
>>727506072>What character can I even play in Tekken 8 where gamers don't act like total bitches?Lee. Everyone else makes me mad.
>>727506072just don't play that dogshit game with dogshit playerst. 500 hours
>>727510850well yeah because Tekken is really hard to get good, the skill ceilling is too high, flowcharts are extremely effective and so if you can execute your gameplan you are invencible, feels like playing a 1 player game. the momentum is also extremely valuable.there is a lot of legacy and incredible ammounts of moves to learn, specially when compared to 2d gamesin 200 hours you can learn most street fighter characters, after that its about perfecting and refining. in tekken, 200 hours you just know a couple of characters, if your opponent plays kuma you are gonna get fucked even if he is a worse player
>>727506072I hear that happens in Tekken a lot in particular. Try +R and 3rd strike.
>>727511370I find Tekken a lot easier to learn than SF. You use like 20 of your moves and it's there's probably few less knowledge check moves. SF input just feels strict to me it's annoying.
>>727511786>I find Tekken a lot easier to learn than SFtrue>You use like 20 of your moves also true, but the more moves you use, the harder it is for your opponent to defend>it's there's probably few less knowledge check moves.completely wrong. every street fighter character has like 20 moves. in tekken they have like 80>SF input just feels strict to me it's annoying.yep, this is also true, but SF also has modern controls
>>727512236>completely wrong. every street fighter character has like 20 moves. in tekken they have like 80Yeah but like how many of them do you actually use? Most of the moves are really meh pokes for each characters. You probably have like 5ish moves as "knowledge checks" whether that be really sneaky lows or strings with goofy stuff. I find SF has a much higher mental stack too. Tekken I can actually sorta play my game and think. SF I feel like I'm always on the backfoot thinking like 3-4x at once. Even Strive I feel a lot more flexible in just playing my playstyle. Different strokes I guess. >yep, this is also true, but SF also has modern controlsless about actual inputs, more about how the inputs are collected. 6HP and 5HP are very different and I feel like it's much easier in Tekken for the game to "know" what button I'm pressing where SF, if I'm a bit sloppy, I'll throw out the wrong move and that fucks with me. Even in combos I'll drop game winning combos because I'm just slightly off.
