Only a retard would pick small customers over a bunch of large companies with so much cash they throw it at you in wagon loads.
In burgerland you could even get sued by shareholders because your job is to maximize profits, not cater to a small group of smelly neck beards.

The RAM AI datacenters use is unusable bucause it's completely different beast from the 'normal' consumer DDR4/5 RAM .

Cloud gaming on windows would mean data centers that cost more than they do now
Windows does not function this way.
Windows will never function this way.

Money will forever limit the ability to companies to be Completely In Control. We will always have consumer hardware.

We literally can't make a service for this. We keep trying and they're expensive commercial failures. Video games are not for streaming.
>>
All we have to do is what we've always done to win.
>ok, our data centers are up! please use our AI services, we will be running ads
No.
>we achieved AGI! this is a monumental point in history. will you use the service now?
I have no need of this.
>...y-you can generate cats doing funny things like cooking. or hyper realistic asuka going up and down stairs! please use our service
Again, I fail to see the usecase.
>please buy RAM and GPUs from us, we are going out of business so there will be a 2% discount on used hardware
Come back to me once prices are lower than they were.

We simply continue to do nothing. We do nothing until the situation improves. It has worked in the past, and it will work now.

Americans are so impractical. Us brown folks know that there is RAM in the data center - free fucking RAM, it just waits there to be picked up. There are also racks of GPUs free for the taking.

>>
>>727607512

>>
>>727608208
They don't care whether you want to give them money our not. Most profit is made from business to business transactions nowadays. So you will have several customer facing corporations that will rip you off for basic necessities and then the rest will get money from dealing with them. In 10 years PCs will be unaffordable and consoles won't have much hardware inside them. People will be forced to pay up ever increasing sums for subscriptions for cloud gaming.
>>
>>727608331
There are no gpus in the data center
Even the shitty ones have doors that open with two cards and your own finger print
Yes the alarms go off all the time when the NFC from one access card interferes with another
Yes the door will let you open it WITH THE WRONG CARD

But no one is able to use any AI tech and make a profit currently. We're currently at the point Amazon and UberEats were at in their infancy where the deals were exceptionally good because they wanted to plant themselves into a market but unlike those services, their plan for supremacy followed by price gutting just isn't working.
Every single company using AI is basically throwing away money right now. Even simple implementations are losing companies 4 dollars for every dollar they charge. It's all investor capital.

No one has been able to produce a service that utilises AI that comes even close to making enough money to actually justify it. It's basically just a retarded amount going into R&D with no tangible outcome.

The elite only wanted population growth because they needed more workers to accelerate their profits, if work can be done, 24/7, by a completely efficient being then there won't be a need to keep people around outside of wealth extraction which pretty much has happened already
besides if UBI did happen, prices will rise such that if you're on UBI, then the only thing you could afford is a very basic life in a very cheap area if that at all. It'll just be like American minimum wage which was designed to ensure workers can raise a family with any job, and that quickly became obsolete since we just raised prices to match that since people now had X amount of dollars to spend

The thing about a cloud gaming future is that it's only needed for AAA where gaming is ran by megacorp publishers dumping millions into products instead of games. That's where you need the powerful and latest hardware being pushed.
Indie and smaller developers will never prioritize putting out games that require a powerhouse device to play.

If you avert your gaze to indie games or your backlog or emulation, hell even Japanese vidya, instead of the yearly CoD/AssCreed/2k sloppa or shit like Bethesda games that are never going to be the caliber of their previous games, you'll get on just fine during all of this until the day you croak.

Yup
"AI" has never turned a profit
Massive amounts of capital being pumped into an industry from investments and debt with the expectation it will return a certain amount of profit, but never meeting those expectations, is a bubble.

The only thing propping it up are about 5 companies shifting a large pool of money between each other and running PR campaigns about how they'll continue to make just as many breakthroughs as before.
Despite the current LLM machine learning model technology that started all this 3 years ago have already matured with no signs of advancement leaps as we've seen so far and they have no more data to feed into them.
Which is already a legal ticking time bomb because these companies need to steal information from others without permission to come even close to enough data to run these LLMs.
"AI" aka LLMs, which started all of this, are as good today as they are going to get.

Yeah I can't wait to buy a 6090 and still get 30 fps max in whatever new slop comes out. The biggest cope is from blind retards who waste their money and still have to framegen and upscale and say it looks better than native bro trust me, fueling a downward spiral of game dev practices where everything is just offloaded to upscaling and raster is meaningless which will eventually just lead to total video streaming and cloud gaming.

The biggest temptation is reselling the PC I built last year for 3x the price today and going back to my old windows 7 box, at least then I wont even have the temptation to try modernslop because it wont run at all.

Whoa, you mean it's doing what literally every other successful business does?
AI IS DOOMED SHARTIST XISTERS, TWO MORE WEEKS
>It took Amazon about 9 years to achieve its first full-year profit in 2003, having been founded in 1994, though it saw its first quarterly profit in late 2001; this lengthy period reflected heavy reinvestment in growth, infrastructure, and new ventures like Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Brought to you by google gemini. Dipshit.
>>
>>727623116
Ah yes, exactly what we need, a new Amazon that controls even more.
>>
>>727623116
Open AI is just starting on the infrastructure costs. They won't be profitable for at least a decade, and that's only if everyone wants what they are offering. Meanwhile, outside of niche research, people are somewhat unlikely to want to pay when they inevitably jack up the price.

Same companies controlling 90% of electronics on the planet for last 30 years you mean?

Nvidia controls 90% of GPUs, TSMC makes 90% of CPUs and Samsung + Hynix make 80% of all memory. They basically control the world. If Nvidia was a country it would be #3 economy after USA and China.

Yeah but Amazon actually made products and services people wanted and payed for.
"AI" aka large language models are a glorified search engine 2.0.
It has no real intelligence and doesn't know jack shit and will only replace the basic of basic tasks like taking orders at a McDonald's drive through and doesn't increase productivity in peoples workflow, I've tried, LLMs are shit.
People will not pay enough for that to cover its costs.
To reach that 125 billion profit by 2030, it needs to bring in 10 TIMES as much as it is now.
And that money needs to be a majority from PROFITS not investments and debt.

Think about it this way.
The stock market averages an increase of about 10% each year.
So if a stock was worth $100 and increased by 10% each year, in 4 years it would be worth $146.41
In order for OpenAI to be profitable and reach that 125 billion mark it has to increase their profit by 1000 PERCENT IN THE NEXT 4 YEARS.
That shit is never happening dipshit.
The only people who won on this AI shit is NVIDIA by fooling people into thinking LLMs can replace workers so they could sell computer chips to suckers.

More RAM and GPUS /= better and more advance machine learning technology.
All that does increase the SCALE of CURRENT technology, not advance it.
Current LLM tech and data is maxed out. More RAM and GPUS won't suddenly make it better, only scale it bigger.
That's like saying if you pour more gas into an engine, that it will magically increase in size and magically grow extra parts to make it produce more horse power.

Yes none of them are making more money than they were prior to this massive AI push because of the actual output of the AI.
They are receiving massive cash injections to try and utilise AI, which is how they can currently afford to bleed this much.
But as I said, this is all predicated on there eventually being a massive return on the use of AI, of which there isn't yet for corporations.

financial institutions have had software to assist in market forecasts for decades. Nothing to do with AI
Medical companies "using it for research" means nothing, the most blanket generalist statement ever
"Companies using it for tech support" were making money without it and the coders required to utilise it cost more than an entire army of jeets to be tech support.
The game devs using it for assets are using it for niche backgrounds, and make money through the rest of the game being good. No one is buying a game because it has ai slop in it and it is a marketedly poor optic to have.
Photographers and movie makers have had easy use post processing for a decade. I guess Ranjesh on youtube has easier access when making his shorts.

So no, your argument which mentioned a bunch of sectors that are currently trying to use AI are "making money" so actually AI is successful is wrong. You've stapled their success onto AI when it's irrelevant and the companies trying to utilise it are failing to make the AI itself profitable and it's being propped up by investors.

I mean AI isn't making money, the only reason why it's still going is because it's a investment black hole, when progress stalls, and they actually need to start making money, and they can't get people to use it to such amount where they actually make their money back, it'll implode and things hopefully recover.

China is projected to produce more ram than they need, even accounting for the AI meme, but that can change depending on developments in AI, because China doesn't innovate, they let others do the R&D and then copy their work. It's absolutely happening, bro, too much infrastructure is being built for this bullshit, and that means tens if not hundreds of thousands of new jobs at risk. No administration wants that stain, so whether it's Vance 2028 or Biden 2028, the burden of bailing out the tech bros will fall on the US taxpayer. The worst part is that everyone KNOWS it's a bubble, since even Samsung and HK are refusing to ramp up production of ram to meet demand, because they want to avoid the market getting flooded by cheap ram after they've built up manufacturing capacity and stock.
