Since BoTW seems to be a touchstone, they could have taken the actually interesting and innovative parts of that game - the dynamically applicable player abilities. Anons, I finally get why everyone’s been losing their minds over Metroid Prime 4.It’s not just “Metroid but new.” It’s that feeling the game nails: that lonely, quiet tension where you’re just Samus in some abandoned alien hellhole, scanning weird crap and slowly piecing together what went wrong. Prime 4 basically remembered everything that made the original trilogy special and just modernized it without turning it into a checklist open-world Ubisoft clone.The atmosphere? Peak. The music? Bro, they brought back actual Metroid Prime ambience, that eerie, droning, half-mechanical vibe that makes you feel like you’re exploring a haunted research lab in space. The world design feels handcrafted instead of procedurally vomited onto a map.And gameplay-wise? It’s the first time in years an FPS didn’t treat me like a toddler. No forced crafting, no “press X to squeeze through the gap,” no NPC yapping in my ear every 10 seconds. Just exploration, puzzles, secrets, and the most satisfying arm cannon in existence.I legit forgot how good it feels to scan things.
