Wait how tall is Samus supposed to be?
>>7278199346'3''198 lbs
>>727819934I want to lick Samus's large, singular ball.
>>727819934new fifa looks good
>>727819934
>>727822049LMAO please make it self-succ.
>>727822049You know how when caterpillars pupate they kinda melt into a nasty goo before reforming as a butterfly? That's how the morph ball really works.
>>727822964i don't think that's how metamorphosis works
It's just a video game
>>727822139MAKE IT STOP
>>727822139>mp4.png
>>727822139No way that dialogue is real. I refuse to believe this...
>>727824221so is ur moms pussy lol (my penis is the controller)
>>727822139>hey you're Samus from super smash bros? lololol do a barrel roll XD
>>727822139You look at the older Prime games having logs about the Space Pirates mutilating their own men to try and replicate the Morph Ball. Then you look at this and wonder how we fell so far....
>>727819934ages ago I saw some jap h-animation of her morphing which was weird but kinda hot at the same time; was never able to find it after seeing it that one time
>>727824768metroid prime 4, smart alec
>>727823372it really is
>>727824993I think some federation troopers being huge fans of Samus and the tech she uses makes sense. The dialogue being really obnoxious is the problem
Stupid sexy ball
>>727825354That's what I'm saying. The first example is making a joke while still treating everything with a level of gravitas. The tone is intact. If they made the troopers simply gasp in shock, or maybe say something like "I'd read about this, but seeing it in person is something else!" It would elevate the material. Samus IS cool and mysterious. People should react to her like the mythological figure with supernatural powers that she is. Not like a tiktok streamer they're addicted to.It's the difference between the fantastic and the mundane. One is awe inspiring, the other is just business as usual.
>>727824993>turning into a ball is such an op mechanic that criminals try to replicate itThis lore bit feels like old wacky game lore
>>727824783>I refuse to believe this...
>>727825948Look at her go!
>>727822049She actually liquefies and sloshes around in there.
>>727825212https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/caterpillar-butterfly-metamorphosis-explainer/>First, the caterpillar digests itself, releasing enzymes to dissolve all of its tissues. If you were to cut open a cocoon or chrysalis at just the right time, caterpillar soup would ooze out.never knew that. nature is far more freaky than anything humans can imagine.
>>727819934>>727822049The hell is the Morph Ball so big in the Prime series, it's not this big in any of the 2D games including Samus Returns and Dread and it's not that big in Other M?
samus is stored in the ball
>>727827021the reason is because 3D cameras don't like to go through really small spaces. it takes a lot more effort to get a 3D camera not to freak out when that happens.in 2D metroid games the morph ball is about a 3rd of samus's size and tunnels are very small. in Prime games it's about half samuses size because if they make tunnels that size it's easier to manage.
>>727822049Kek
>>727827650morph ball sections in the prime games almost always have unique camera programming
>>727826456Milk sloshing sounds as she's rolling
>>727819934>Samus lost to a trannyYou need to find a better waifu.
>>727827835yeah but they go from a far off view to a tunnel view then inside the tunnel there's usually scripted camera triggers.if the tunnel was really small they'd need to dynamically change how camera collision works and also interpolate things like the FOV without it looking odd or making people sick / claustrophobic.
>>727819934206cm if I remember correctly
>>727826351Since reading the logs in the older prime games, I just assumed it was a problem with there not physically being enough room to shuffle the suit parts around, and not having to shuffle body parts around at the same time, and the pirates never figured out how.
>>727828747nah, it's chozo lost supertechnologythe prototypes that science team put together mangled and mutilated all the space pirates who tried itthe nes game mechanic was probably conceived while spitballing ideas in a 30 minute meeting and implemented in about as much time.it's not all that mysterious for 2d games, but the 3d games get you wondering about how it works and how a player would use it. i think the reverse engineering logs in prime were a fun idea that made use of what was already there.
>>727826417Millennial writing strikes again
>>727826852Is the soup even alive? Or does it just kill itself and then clone another body?
