I have an idea for Regigigas and Slaking. You create a hold-item for them that makes them "unaffected by attacks during a turn that this pokemon cannot take its turn." They cannot be damaged, cannot be whirlwinded, and can't be hit with status effects. The obvious counterplays is that the opponent is free to switch or setup on these turns (spikes, dragon dance, etc)
