the gameplay is extremely well done

I've always thought it would be crazy if you were playing a walking-sim type "gone home" gay clue hunting game, meeting a few friendly NPCs here and there and thinking you're moving ahead towards some goal in your very slim quest log, when suddenly in the middle of the game you're approached by the only hostile NPC in the game, a demented naked nigger with a brick. He knocks you out and your character has permanent brain damage, can't move can't talk, the rest of the game is your so called friendly NPCs betraying you and passing the buck until you end up getting abused in some nigger nursing home, progressively losing all functions and inputs even wasd until finally you just get flat out raped. It's a graphic scene with blood that filters all the streamers. Then the game ends with you dying of internal bleeding and the quest log going permanently unfinished.

The 2023 remake was really good. I got it for $10 and I think my only reasonable complaints were the way they downgraded Mercer and made him a mustache twirling villain and how they got dr kyne and replaced him with a generic npc
