This game was janky as shit and ran like a paraplegic but fuck me it had a soul. I'm halfway through the standalone DLC/Second Campaign thing and it's holding up pretty well too, the story is still strong which surprised me.Biggest complaint is that I do t care how lore accurate it is, his sheer clunkyness and sluggishness can be really frustrating during a difficulty spike.Also fuck the chip merging minigame. For real, fuck it, let me influence the outcome you bellend.

The flashback sequences in the DLC were stupid. The Murphy one at least had some shooting, the black lady one could have been a 30s cutscene, and the mercenary one was entirely pointless cause it didn't give you any info that you couldn't already glean from the fact there was a hanging corpse with a "traitor" sign

First off, STRONGLY recommend filling vitality, that 75% auto regen is just not optional on hard difficulty. Armour is also really good, but you might wanna try and save enough for the one that "Improves Outcome Thresholds" if you can spare the points.Fairly early on, you'll met a guy called Pickles, and it's either the first or second time you meet him that you'll come up against some of the best writing in the game. It's in relation to Briggs, the name'll mean something when you get there.Shortly after this, there's a level on the outskirts of town, and you'll be presented with the chance to grab a Sniper Rifle shortly before going into an underground close quarters area. KEEP IT. You're about to Meet The Sniper when you come out and the scoped aug you could take instead just isn't up to the job, you WILL get your shit pushed in.Final stupid little gotcha moment is right near the end, you'll be given the chance to help people stuck in a burning building. One of them can't make it out under their own power, you gotta carry them, and the only route goes through a burning staircase. You have to turn your body, literally look at the opposing wall with your camera, and crab-walk down the stairs, otherwise the flames cook 'em and you fail it. This was probably the single dumbest moment, honestly.Hope this helps smooth out some of the wrinkles.

This game fucking ruled and I need more of it.I was worried it wouldn't meet the 'fantasy' of a Robocop game, ie. walking slowly through a drug lab or other crime den with bullets pinging off you harmlessly before effortlessly dispatching 30-40 goons - but it fucking NAILED it.I love how slow you are. I LOVE that the Auto-9 is pretty much the best and most important weapon to you. I love that 60-70% of the game is dialog and searching for litter and issuing parking tickets and then they push a big button called "add goons".It's basically the American Yakuza - they need to make like 4 or 5 more sequels using the same map as a hub but just adding more side quests and shit.
