>released 15 years ago in 2010>still regular threads discussing its world, factions, story and hitting bump limitIs it really THAT good? I don't remember any game where there's threads on here hitting bump limit consistently. I might need to play this if it's that good.
When every group and faction have a huge asterisk next to the "why they're good" part of their identity, you open yourself up for discussion. Many factions are just incredibly misguided in a very realistic way.Modern writing making everyone a tragic underdog with a sob story has genuinely ruined good worldbuilding.
>>728393189It can be a bit clunky at times, but it's a good RPG with enough different builds and weapons to encourage replays as well
>>728393353Was it because of Avellone?
>>728393874Avellone seems to be able to make the best out of what he's given, but I don't think writing quality rests entirely on him.
>>728393874New Vegas has multiple writers it wasn't all done by Avellone
>>728393189>? I don't remember any game where there's threads on here hitting bump limit consistentlySkyrim
>>728394282>SkyrimThat's true, but I don't think the factions and the story are being discussed in these threads, but the world definitely is. But I think most of the threads about Skyrim are more about the modding scene and especially those other kind of mods
>>728393189>Is it really THAT good?Yes.It's the true Fallout 2 and the last real Fallout game
>>728393189>Is it really THAT good?I would say yes, but no... ish. I just think the industry's bar is that low for multiple choice narrative driven, highly reactive RPGs. Which is more a shame than a testament to NV's greatness in my book.
>>728394394Skyrim did as the Empire and the Stormcloaks have the same writing hook as mentioned by >>728393353For all of Skyrim's faults, the central conflict between having to choose between a buckbroken empire and a band of compromised chuds was a very clever one.
>>728393189It's not THAT good. But it's pretty good. People love Bethesda open worlds and this one inherited that formula while not having Bethesda writing.
It's my second favorite game in the series so I like it.
>>728393189It's discussed by people who never played it. It's an incredibly overrated game.
>>728393189When the trans crowd latches onto something they never shut up about it.It is part of their mental illness.
>>728394394Morrowind threads are all about the mods.Currently TR is the mod du jour being shilled.Skyrim threads are either the waifu degeneretes wandering out of tesg or some variation of elf hatred.
>>728393189It is but you're not guaranteed to like it.
