I think other people have made their own bugfixes or offered to help proofread the English but he refused for reasons I can't exactly recall. F&H intentionally makes it mechanics obtuse at the start, and a lot of early game admittedly relies on some trial and error, so don't worry about starting new runs at the beginning. It also has a big focus on resource management and has party member permadeath. There's no leveling or stat wank (in a regular sense) and progression relies largely on finding new gear, party members and skills, and using the knowledge you gained from previous runs. And yes, play the first game first. Unlike BS, people are a lot more divided on whether F&H1 or 2 is better, plus some of the stuff in F&H2's main endings doesn't make much sense unless you have played through the first game and its important endings, and understand the full context.
