Got Emerald. Should have Legend 1 some time in the next week, hopefully before NiGHTS.
Got Emerald two nights ago. It was a fucking journey to get. Made it to 1839 than slipped down to 1750s, managed to climb back up to like 1841 than fucked up and came in last and just started losing all my progress and dropped into gold, practically gave up getting emerald at that point but kept playing and tinkering with builds until I just kept getting consistent podium finishes. Glad Im free from that hellhole and all future rounds of it.

Having room for full ring boost plus lv2 QC lets you hit 260 in areas the frontrunners are moving at 220-230, and even lets you sometimes hit that speed in first. No item protection blows, but it's great at keeping up with the leaders and can potentially frontrun lap 3 with enough of a safety net.>QR over UC makes for a drift build that's just as fast as surfers, but with a utility slot to spare. Much better lap 1 ring gen, but without defensive items or collision protection the ring economy gets much worse once the bullshit starts.>Big Idiot consistently does well, but the slipstream reliance makes it feel shit to drive if you're anywhere other than on first's ass. Speed items (besides drill) should really be faster to make up for how much you lose when you're hit. A speed wisp barely goes faster than a level 3 drift + slipstream, if that.
