AI haters are genuinely mentally handicapped. Devs don't make everything by hand since the 80s
Of course, if you're a retard, AI will suck. But that's for every tool, it needs someone that knows what they're doing and not rely just in one method

Indie tards suck up roguelikes with procedural general yet hate AI when they're the same shit

Technically, when you insert a code to the software, he's the one doing the job, not you. Therefore every game isn't man-made

Iterative generations for speeding up concept work. I drew a character, threw it into an AI, had it generate a few variations of said character, and took bits and pieces from those variations that I liked and worked them in to my design. It skips the part where I have to look up design references gor 3-4 hours.
>>
>>728859978
You mean it's a good excuse to replace jeets actually. Why hire low quality jeets if one jap and AI can do the same job?
>>

If we get good games out of it that aren't obviously ai, I don't really care. The tools to create should always get better. It can be handled properly.

>just saying "haha" makes everybody drop their pants for him
>uses the power of friendship to defeat the true antagonist interdimensional hatred curse that appears at the last second

>is technically royalty, his biological father is the reincarnation of an ancient Emperor
>breaks up budding romances between other characters that were developing in the third game because everybody sucks his dick in the fourth game
>can marry any girl of his choosing, will impregnate them with his chad thundercock

>wields a Dual-Bladed Gun-Scythe-Katana that is actually the crystallized soul of his dead waifu (she’s not dead, she just loves him so much she wanted to be his weapon)
>has a passive ability called "Narrative Gravity" where cutscenes from other games in the franchise accidentally play in his game whenever he walks into a room
>doesn't have a "harem"; has a "demographic"
>his pheromones are so potent they cross server regions; NPCs in the MMORPG spin-off start blushing when he levels up in the single-player game
>beats the legendary "Sword Saint" of the previous trilogy in the tutorial level using a tutorial wooden stick, legendary sword saint retires to become his janitor
>pilots a mecha that is larger than the planet; the game map takes place *on* his mecha's shoulder
>his "demon power" isn't a curse, he just holds back 99.9% of his power to not crash the game engine
>the villain’s master plan turns out to be just trying to get Kaelus’s autograph
>can romance the female villains, the male villains, the monsters, the shopkeepers, and the dialogue text box itself

In the first three months of using Claude I was running regression tests very methodically because I was paranoid, but I only caught a couple of small bugs that we could get fixed easily.
Did a deployment at the start of the month and it went off without a hitch.
I'm sure the team sizes will stay smaller going forward, but I'm already on a team with an established career so I'm safe.

Yeah, THOSE are the uses that have me interested and also nervous. The extreme pattern detection ability is what's so powerful, so medical data is going to go from being worth its weight in gold to worth its weight in diamond, purely because of the enormous advances it will start to make when more AI is integrated and put to use for medical research. Most of it is going to be squandered and stolen to benefit only the rich, but we're also going to see a massive medical black market pop up, especially once genetic modification makes it big. It's insane what's becoming possible in the space of years, instead of decades.

I know you never passed second grade reading, but this is a separate question than "is this being done". Ask your tard wrangler to explain it to you.
>>
>>728880461
That's another aspect that has me spooked and really interested in the impact; AI is genuinely excellent at translation, and with enough time spent trained on spoken language and nuance, I imagine some form of rudimentary universal translator will become available.
>>
>>728879854
Complete horse shit. I delegate tasks to 3 different AI agents just by writing tickets. Each one takes 10 minutes to process for my 5 minutes of writing a ticket. It does it better than the junior/mid level engineers I replaced with AI, for pennies. The code is well documented, self-tested, and even self-bug checked so it also saves massive amounts of QA effort. AI absolutely can replace junior and mid level code monkeys.

On the other you have the accelerationist data center builders who try to use it to defuse concerns about AI getting capable faster than it's getting safe.

Correct. The entire problem is that we are working from an extremely uneven and early mass-application of an unproven technology that is changing every day. It's nothing but bad data by bad actors and nothing but time and brute force is going to prove what the reality of it is. But there's been enough reality provably seen to get nervous about this entire endeavor. I'm not scared of AGI, I'm scared of good-enough AI in the hands of idiot people trying to make money and take control at any cost.

Anon, I know this hard to believe for you, but AI image generation is not just making a collage of existing images and it is grown the tiniest bit beyond getting hands wrong. It generates whatever you want in whatever style and format you prefer and then you can still tell it
>make the jacket green and the hair spiky with red tips and move the character slightly to the right
and then it does exactly that, within seconds. You can even take a random image of a warrior fighting a dragon or whatever and tell the AI to generate a concept art page that shows this character from the side, front and back and with different fascial expression on white background and the AI will do that without getting any details wrong.

I was really excited about modern "AI" when it came out, but after so many bad experiences now I really, REALLY hate it for anything other than goonslop (that one reached a decent-ish level at this point) and making memes. The worst experience so far was I had to work throughout the last semester on a project with a dude that did his part of the project with AI (even the fucking final product presentation) and it was the most vague, noncohesive, barely usable crap. I had to spend double the time and effort to unfuck his contributions (functional specifications, technical specifications, fucking Python server code) and even then the final program and documents were still tainted. The other teams only used AI as a coding assistant tool and their shit was impeccable.
This "AI" tech enables the laziest faggots in a project to contribute garbage rather than not contribute anything. If I was one of those greedy vidya studio leads and I wanted my team members to "10x their productivity" I'd restrict their AI usage to technical stuff like boilerplate code completion, coding assistance, 2D to 3D modelling, and image genning for experimental, non-asset-creation purposes. If I caught a faggot trying to pass some slop as an asset or some unreviewed fully-slopped code as human-made code I'd fucking fire him on the spot.

Erm, no, the AI deserves to be paid for their labor. $90 AI slop, take it or leave it.

AI will keep improving exponentially my nigga. a year ago decels were laughing at will smith spaghetti video, now they can't tell for sure which is the real one.
>>
>>728891153
Actually, a year ago we had the AI coke ad.

This year, we have a second AI coke ad that doesn't look any better.

Anyone who uses this word is unironically a retarded shill that treats AI with a religious zeal.
To them being against AI is like being an heretic.

Well?
Are you gonna ask it?

AI = NO BUY

You cannot buy any new game then. Every popular coding tool nowadays has AI. Even crappy indie unity games are coded using visual studio that has AI code writing and integration with github copilot.

I mean just look at this image. there so many elements that are wrong, asset placement and colors being the worst offenders. there's no way in hell AI couldn't generate a better, aesthetically pleasing environment. you don't even need cursed concept artists to pull it off, just a 3d artist with good taste and AI.

>If you can use AI, your productivity skyrockets.
Interesting. Companies are much more productive now, right? Like when the industrial revolution happened and made manufacturing much more efficient. But it's curious, because no one sees the consequences of the AI revolution.
At the same time, people see a lot of the things they used to like being flooded with worthless shit. You can't even go to your favorite hentai piracy site without the catalog being 99% AI renders made by people with no taste whatsoever.

Imagine how many fucking trails of brainrot games they're going to pump out now.
It's already impossible trying to keep up with their output.

They've always been quantity over quality, or rather a budget-title company. You're smoking something. May I have it?
