The biggest fumble was not having Adam smasher kill you in the end. I can see other endings like you escaping him if you have high enough stats or you're joining the corpos but killing him should've never have been able to happen. He was the wrong in night city personified. A heartless soul who lost all his humanity and makes everyone suffer for his benefit. He should've been the warning to everyone that if you let people without humanity rule absolutely, you will end up being unable to stop the evil they create. Adam smasher killed thousands of people but also thousands of player characters in the tabletop game because his role was to be a walking game over screen with gear above the military! If you tried to hack with state of the art tech he had better experimental stuff he was the corpos given human form something you cant just shoot with a gun you and your back alley pals created together. He was the lesson to be learned and its throwaway by game devs who only say him as a boss to be stated and defeated. Fuck what the author says adam smasher being an unstoppable beast that kills legends is great and it just cheapens the death of johnny, david and all the other OCs people made and lost to adam in the ttrpg when you make a 1 tap build for youtube. Anyone who thinks they shouldve been able to kill adam smasher is childish and probably picked yes man for their best new vegas ending.
