Warhammer 40k is best served by explaining books in the Horus Heresy series, which are best described as homo-erotic power fantasy books with long descriptions of men's bodies. Just a little fighting in them, but it's not well written. While the iconic Space Marines are still all male, something that is unlikely to change, the Custodes, which is mankind's absolute elite, and the God Emperor's personal guard, have suddenly gone from being all male to having women in their ranks, and when they show up, they're extremely obnoxious and the writers make a point out belittling and talking down to the male characters, usually the Space Marines, who are the face of the franchise.There's a lot of other stuff, but it's gradually turning into the same slop as every other sci-fi franchise. The woke stuff is just the tip of the iceberg, and the franchise has a lot of other problems and recent changes that most fans dislike.

The Chaos Gods probably can't be killed because GW are the biggest Chaos cock suckers around and will warp pre-existing lore to ensure that Chaos will win.
