>>728889120Well XIV normal content is easy, you can get by without knowing your rotation. If you do harder stuff (Extremes, Savage, Ultimate) you can't get by just spamming buttons. And XIV's difficulty comes from boss mechanics.With XI, you will likely be doing the content with Trusts (npc party). With the trust NPCs you get, they can easily carry you through a lot of the older/story content. I would say though XI is more punishing in the world. Easy to get overwhelmed or wander in to a high level mob that will kill you.Keep in mind my experience with XI is not as deep as XIV. I've played XI off and on for years but I am still going through story content.

PlayOnline is a fucking slog but with tutorials it's not too hard to get passed, ignore people saying Trust trivialises the game.Going into cities and spamming chat looking for people to play with is peak soul but it's not really viable anymore. Trust functions like you're playing with people they just don't talk and are available 24/7.It's also really surreal to see trade posts going back to 2005 or people bragging about beating clearing a raid in 2006 when you come from XIV where 2019 feels 'old'
