I never listen to the story in games. I just skip all the dialogue and if I get lost I look up where I'm supposed to go online. I don't want to read or watch cutscenes, just give me pure gameplay damn it.Does anyone else do this?
>>728900829Well there's about 2-5 million disabled adults in the US, so yeah, plenty of other people do.
i never understood people like you but more and more im picking up the latest shit that comes out and i lose interest in anything going on by the halfway mark. michael zaki is successful cause he knows he cant write for shit and just keeps it in the item descriptions
>>728900829I have used "skips the cutscenes and then acts like the retard he is by not understanding anything" as the breaking point to kill a two decade old friendship.
>>728900829Humans don’t do this no. Many rodents do
needing words to convey to the player what to do is bad game designbooks use words. movies use visuals. videogames use gameplay. the ideal game has no tutorials, no convoluted story, has a fair learning curve and a high skill ceiling
>>728902084tetris is the ideal video game
>>728902084Movies use visuals and sound and writing in tandem to help you orient yourself within the narrative, unless we're talking about high concept arthouse shit.Gameplay is the challenges the game presents, getting me to understand the challenges in an expedient manner is better done with the aid of text. Gameplay is not just when you have the ability to run around and push buttons and make stuff happen in real time. You fucking mongol.
>>728902084>movies use visualsDo you only watch mute movies or what
>>728900829every timemakes me wish i was good at galaga. it's all gameplay
>>728900829I do feel like this these days. That's why I'm looking for a multiplayer game but can't find one. I enjoyed Nightreign but I've done everything.
>>728903670Yeah I’ve been getting into older games for this reason. There’s nothing between you and the gameplay
>>728900829I forgot where moore forest is so i gotta look it up now
>>728902704>mute moviesIs that what we're calling silent films now?
