welp, i just fucked up.i updated my graphics driver and now RPCS3 is completely fucked. everything worked fine, now nothing works.does anyone know what in the FUCK would cause this error or>shared.cpp:205[:24], in function 'void vk::die_with_error()')?
well cant you just roll back to the previous driver?
>>728910114Updating graphics drivers is 100% sure way to lose performanceThey do this intentionallyMy GPU drivers are from 2021, 2025 drivers were 10-15% slower
>>728910114>does anyone know what in the FUCK would cause this erroryes, updating anything when your PC was working completely fine before. Lesson learned.
>>728910220People say this but I have seen zero proof. You should be able to easily measure this and post a video and get a bazillion views.
>>728910114AMD or Nvidia?
>>728910320>>728910298>>728910297>>728910220>>728910179>>728910114clear your shader cache. rpcs3 is not your mommy. neither is windows or ddu or the nvidia driver.
My last PC had Windows get irrecoverably fucked up when updating a graphics driverThe issue was that the driver signature didn't match up to the updated driver, so Windows just didn't load it at all. No amount of reinstalling in any way corrected this, and any further driver updates and installs with any other application were also mismatched and thus fucked up foreverThis was back on Windows XP or 7 though, it still sucked ass
>>728910179the installer offered to remove all previous drivers and i did not foresee it fucking things up this badly so i told it to go ahead.there does not seem to be anywhere to download an older version of the driver i need from intel's site.
>>728910114P5 is cracked on pc now i think, if that's all you play I'd just jump ship.
>>728910454>clear your shader cachedidn't work. same result.
>>728910589unfortunately, no.i already went all the way through DeS but i also play Dragon's Crown and Tokyo Jungle.
ok, i did find older versions of the driver on intel's site, but they are not as old as the one i had prior.thanks, intel. god fucking damn it.well, i'm going to try this slightly older version they do have available, hopefully it unfucks whatever this problem is.
Do third worlders really?
>>728910856>intel>graphics>driverThis explains so much
>>728910940maybe you'd have a point if it hadn't been working fine before
>>728910882>third worlderKek do you even know how strong of a PC you need to actually emulate ps3 shit. My own rig is around 3500 and was chugging in some zones on LBP
>>728911065>do you even know how strong of a PC you need to actually emulate ps3 shitI mean it's not that bad at native resolution. PS4 on the other hand.
>>728910856>>728910940>Intel GPUs and drivers are currently unsupportedthat explains everything.you're also trying to use Vulkan when you should be using OpenGL on intel.
Switch to Linux. Windows drivers are dogshit for Intel & Nvidia & AMD.
>>728910454its not shader cache
>>728911065>Kek do you even know how strong of a PC you need to actually emulate ps3 shit.this is coding issueTrue emulation would need just little more resources than native hardware hasI dont careShitcode is not excuse, git gut
>>728911237>that explains everythinghow does it explain Vulkan working just fine on the same hardware prior to the update?OpenGL renders the games unplayable so i can't just switch over.
>>728911491Demon's Souls runs pretty easily until you start bumping up the resolution to 4K, etc.
this is what i fucking get for updating
unplug you second monitor
So glad I play on consoles.
>>728910114Hahahha should play on ps5 pcfailure
>>728910530typical windows user and their typical windows problems
>>728912953i'm on a laptop
>>728910114ghoul whelp
>>728913328ok try killing yourself then instead
>>728913817didn't work. had to get Vincent Schiavelli to teach me how to interact with physical objects.still getting same error.
after way too much digging, i found the driver i was using previously. ...and it's still giving me this fucking error. so that means it was a fuckup on RPCS3's side. meanwhile, in the reports, they just point their fingers at intel.thanks, guys.
>>728911237retards giving advice when they don't even use the emulator
