Pendulums are basically Madolche cards except to go to the ED instead, and Links are essentially more generic contact fusions with the caveat that they have to be in the EMZ or have another Link point towards it.

I do not understand how anyone could struggle with understanding any mechanic in yugioh when Konami has been making everything past Synchros extremely simple.
