This game's pretty alright. Best Skyrim clone on the marketWhat do you fags think about it?
>>728913912Had the most fun in the 2nd area. I was mentally done with the game by the 3rd area though so I just rushed the giant cave and did the ending.
>>728914147what was your build?
>>728913912I liked dual wielding shields in that game. Was able to just brute force smash through everything.
>>728913912The first Act/Zone was alright. I felt like the world was pretty dead but it was fun to move around and do quests and clear locations. The second zone quickly became pretty boring with the back an forth between the city and locations. I dropped it like half way into the 2nd zone. Glad I pirated.
>>728913912Joking right?>ugly fucking cac, but doesn't matter because >>forced fpp>weightless combat>ugly animations>no footstep vfx or character shadows>ANOTHER fucking 'character trapped in protag's head' game a la bg3 and cp2077I can't believe someone played the demo and said "yeah I wanna spend my money on that".
>>728915296The only thing you're right about is the character creation being bad. Also, you can only really talk to Arthur at a campfire or during story moments.
>>728915427>only thing you're right aboutThere is almost zero feedback on character movement and action, at least in the demo. Except for a jump noise and very occasional attack grunt, your character's silent. Feels incredibly cheap.
>>728913912I really liked it but no matter what I did combat became way too easy by the end of Act 1
>>728915797Also there's no TPP at all. Whatever 'accessibily' option they apparently, allegedly added for TPP later isn't there.
>>728915797>>728915852these are both good things
>>728915797>>728915852My pirated copy had character weight, footsteps, etc. Even let you switch to third person (though you have to go into a menu).
How do i mod my gog copy?
>>728913912it's dishonest to call it a skyrim clone
>>728916045Embarrassing too. Imagine managing to be worse than that shit-ass game.
>>728913912For all the good things I've seen about this game, I keep seeing bad reviews and the like stating that all of the quality is in Act 1 only, and that the other two acts are much worse. How true is that?
>>728915852>>728915919I don't know why you would want a game that has both first and third personthere's basically no games out there that do it well it always comes with compromises
>>728916153Act 1 is strongest, Act 2 is good though and has a nice aesthetic, Act 3 is Skyrim, they've put a lot of work into fixing it up in the months since the game released, there's quite a few quests that coincide with other ones, but you can also skip the whole act and go to the end
>>728917127>TPP for macro (exploration/combat)>FPP for micro (looting/sniping/important NPC convos)Pretty simple.
>>728913912Difficulty in the game jumps around pretty wildly but I do like a lot of the QoL ideas that it has. Being able to craft so long as I have materials in a container I own, and I don't even have to be near it, is nice. Same for gear being surprisingly customizable so that yeah, the rare gear is still de facto better, if I like the look of a particular type I can just upgrade it and slot in those fancy items to give even white gear passive bonuses. The melee combat is mostly good, I still prefer Vermintides for being just the right amount of arcadey action to try hard BS and this one sometimes feels like they went a little further to the try hard section. You get a block that doesn't work very well, a push that only sometimes staggers enemies, and a parry that can break the game and easily when you build into it.7/10 not bad I don't actually remember why I was killing Knights of the Round Table or reviving King Arthur.
My biggest gripe i have about the game is the stat system falls into the trap just about every other open arpg does and things are weirdly balanced at times, like that mole rat boss in the beginner cave that 1 shots you unless you go in with endgame build but you can cheese its mechanics or run away and use ranged whole fight to beat it at lvl 1 if you want. Other than that it has some of the best exploration in open world just in terms of finding cool loot or the odd quest. Also though its like the devs tried just adding a bunch of cool stuff to see what sticks, which is cool but stuff like needing a shovel to dig for obvious treasure seems odd. Why would you ever not have a shovel on your character 15 mins into the game? Theres no choice about having a shovel or not unless you drop it for more carry weight because you are super greedy, dig spots are just second chests you get access to if you give up 2lb carry weight forever.I genuinely had more fun with exploration in this than oblivion and the quest design was on par or better than skyrims i would say. Though the production quality is obviously not skyrim level, its more like jank kino.
lol at every thread for this game>wow what fun i like tes clones! hey me too!>WAAAAAAAAAAAH THIS SHIT ISN'T ROLL SLOP HOW DARE THIS GAME
>>728917641Literally who said this you fucking loser?
>>728917184there's no game that splits it like thisyou can always do everything in both and it just feels worse than it would if the game dedicated to one playable camera angle
I actually would prefer a TPP TES game having Elden Ring combat mechanics over the stupid fucking forced FPP left-right hand animations that have looked like shit since the original Farcry, now that you mention it.
I just started playing this. do the initial questions in the jail cell matter much?
>>728913912I need to play it first, but it being Skyrim clone sounds good.
>>728913912It's my GOTY
>>728916116this faggot probably thought that E33 is goty
>>728913912I started it recently, I'm enjoying it, I'm taking my time and getting immersed in the world, this game has cool vibes and aesthetics.
why are gamedevs making you start at boring af gray dungeons? I want to see the outside world immidiatelyattempted the game 2 times and dropped it within 10 minutes because of it
>>728913912I like it so far, only in the first area.
