It went to shit because of MW4, they turned the deadly military walker into plastic toys with shiny lasers
I occasionally want to try MW5 but from my research they actually simplified it more than MW3 despite having the technology and ability to make smart NPC that actually use all the collaborative combat systems (instead of just being a shooting gallery)

You can probably say that of all games tho...
We can make open-world with a million of vehicles and characters, but you'll still have no wingman worth shit and no coordination in NPC movement.
