How was Mohrta?
Heard the enemy pathfinding is really bad.
Did it live up to fun or become another unfinished unity project?

I thought it was pretty great. Id been looking for something similar to lunacid for a while and this really scratched that itch. The one gripe i have is that the npc dialogue doesnt change much.

The enemy pathfinding is indeed abysmal, that much is true.

Pros:
>immaculate vibes
>good/decent OST that sells the mood
>very wide weapon variety
>charming character designs and interactions
>beautiful zones and some interesting worldbuilding
>really cool bosses
>a surprisingly high density of low-poly tiddies
>there's a wolf girl waifu who twirls lever action shotguns

Cons:
>enemies are all dumb as a bag of hammers
>enemies tend to be bullet spongy if your weapons aren't upgraded (and lategame are still spongy with upgrades)
>upgrade resources are throttled so you won't be able to upgrade every (or even most) weapon
>like 12 weapons but only 4 ammo types that are shared, which makes experimentation finicky outside of the melee options
>many alt-fires are questionably useful aside from saving you a little ammo
>bosses, while cool, tend to be pretty easy once you have the hang of the controls

If you're a gameplay purist then Mohrta is probably a skip - it's easily the weakest part of the package. It's not BAD, but it's only passable. That said, I still had a great time just gawking at what the artists had put together and trying to figure out what the fuck was going on. I think it's definitely worth a pick up to play through once, especially on sale.

Oh fug, 4chanX wasn't letting me reply.

Oh that's not bad then.
Is the dialog voiced? Like will the user hear "HUMAN BONES THAT MOVE ON THEIR OWN!!!" over and over again?

Really appreciate this, thank you!

It's a shitty paid gzdoom mod

I think just one single character has voiced dialogue at all. Everyone else has a pretty generic vocal bark like 'Hmm?' or such. Except one lady who makes flute noises 'cause she's got a beak with holes in it instead of a mouth.

I tried the demo and it was super jank, does the final game improve on that?

The only real jank I encountered in my playthrough was the fact that enemies have no inertia, so while they trying and path around they'll often instantly change facing and your shot will happen to be one frame late to catch them before the turn. That was a real pain in the ass in the last zone specifically.

Otherwise movement felt fine and the guns worked reliably. Although hitboxes for destructible scenery were weirdly gigantic. I think they're just squares, so wide objects can sometimes block your shots even though it looks like you're shooting over them.
