>>728920251Is that what young Hammond actually looked like? I did not know that he's always looked like an insufferable twat.
>>728920159He only likes Asteroids and Pac-man. I tried playing other games with him, but he was never into it.
>>728920159He used to play Kings Quest and ERP with sluts on ICQ
>>728920562

>>728921028which dad was it?
>>728920159My dad used to play Unreal on one of the two PC's he built in his life. He played that game nonstop, I'm surprised he never got bored of it. It also scared the shit out of me, but I always thought the lore and sound design was so cool as a kid that I finally got over the fear and beat it my self in 2018. Besides that, he surprised us with an original Xbox the month it came out and played Halo CE whenever he could, over and over again just like with Unreal. Then when the MCC came out on the Xbox One he bought both of those for himself and did the same thing, but this time he actually played and beat Halo 2, 3, ODST and Reach. That's it though, he doesn't give a shit about anything else besides Unreal and Halo.
>>728920159My dad is 80. He doesn't play anything and never did.
>>728921383My grandfather was from a time where there was no reason for him to play anything there were no video games back in his day. Many many years later he bought a ps1 and beat Alien Ressurection and the first Spyro the Dragon. No one knows why. He just did.
>>728920159My dad has absolutely no interest in video games in general but whenever Dig Dug is mentioned his face lights up and he won't stop talking about how much he had fun playing it in arcades when he was younger. Thinking about getting him a cheap chinkheld with only dig dug installed.
>>728920159Chesumasuta
>>728920159World of Tanks, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Team Fortress 2. He’s 59 and retiring soon.
>>728920159My dad played bioshock, the halo trilogy and fear circa ~2008. I would watch him play on our big rear projection tv and pretend I was the protagonist with my spud gun.
>>728920159my dad gets motion sick from video games sadly. i know he'd love them too. he's just on too many medications in his old age and i think they fuck with him
>>728922069fat arthur is canon, it explains why i cant give the camp money because im constantly buying candies from the store
>>728920159Civ 4, 5 and 6.
>>728921468dont ruin his memories with reality
>>728920159Ehhh, he's a huge NPC when it comes to vidya and the only games he buys are ones that are "in" right now.Overall, I've noticed he's pretty much always been an "if I haven't heard of it, it's 1000% bad, absolute shit" and "Game Informer gave it a 10/10, it's the best game ever" guy.Note I didn't say "it could be bad" or it "might be great", nah, the guy's just a marketing sponge and he believes the things he's told right away (though he's absolutely been seething at ESG/DEI stuff the last couple years.Outside of that, he's willing to experiment a little with whatever's free on Xbox Game Pass, so sometimes he'll branch out, but he'll still end up playing E33 badly despite disliking RPGs and not caring for the style or the characters, solely because it sold like crazy and was raved about in the media.Once upon a time, he played a lot of shooters, but his Xbox is out of date, one of his brothers is off having a serious midlife crisis and his other brother is having a medium-sized midlife crisis but is also a Playstation guy.Bonus: Mom.>used to play a lot of Mario and Zelda back in the SNES era>I try to get her to play SMW on my chinkheld>she hasn't touched a non-phone game in like 20 years and only plays a little before giving up>nowadays she mostly just plays match-3 games on her phoneI think I could get her to try again on a big screen, so one of these times I'll get one of those SNES-clone controllers, hook my chinkheld to a TV and let her play that way to see if she likes it more.>>728921468If you're gonna do that, make sure you do it RIGHT, connect it to a TV, use a proper controller to match whatever control scheme the arcade used, and configure Retroarch for the lowest input lag possible. Also:>grandpa used to play a ton of Command and Conquer games>mostly one of the Yuri's Revenge games>eventually quits>his favorite game of all time is Dig-Dug>I'm big-time into inflation>set the game up for him and leave the roomlol
>>728920159My dad used to love Galaga. He taught me that you could let a ship get captured, then recover it for dual-fire.He's a dumbass, but I miss who he used to be before he got into meth, had that other child out of wedlock and became weird and estranged, but it's my whore mom's fault for being a schizo kike, she didn't treat him well. International Jewry has destroyed my family.
he's dead, we used to play Zelda 3 and Goldeneye a lot when i was a kid.
When I was little, Age of Empires was something he played at work with office buddies. Beyond that, he never really "got it" until I got a Gamecube and left the N64 at his place. At first he really loved OoT and Star Fox, he 100%'ed those games years before I did, but we played Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life together and he got really into that, buying a used copy of Harvest Moon 64 and criticizing me for going after the difficult and useless girls. Years later, I moved in with him and brought my 360, and he was all about Assassin's Creed 1-Brotherhood before getting into GTA. The last two games he really cared about were GTA V and Red Dead Redemption, which played into his love of westerns. Thanks for reading my blog, I miss him a lot.
Dad was the one who got me into games. Used to sit in bed with him when I was off school and we'd play Silent Hill and Resident Evil when I was too young and scared to play, so I'd hide under the covers and help with the puzzles. As I got older we started playing all of the Halo and Gears of War games co-op. Also played a ton of Ratchet and clank and Jak and Daxter and those kinda games, but we always loved horror the most.He doesn't play game anymore, despite me encouraging him because it'll keep his mind fresh. Even suggested we play something co-op again but he's just not interested. Feels bad man. He did randomly play Dead Rising 3 though and absolutely loved it. Called 4 shit after an hour too. He's based in his own way.
None

>>728920159Based dad but he should get a monitor and a better chair his posture situation looks grim and in not trying to be his mom or anything im just saying that position doesn't even look comfortable
I haven't spoken to him in 15 years, but when I knew him he was still playing ps1. He played civ2 a lot back then.
>>728920159football manager 2010, literally nothing else
>>728920159My father tried to be a gamer>His rig is more powerful than mine>Shared my steam library with him, just to maybe play Death Stranding or something similar>installed, never played>ok, give him my old xbox one and RDR2>couldn't get past the tutorial>bought and built a complete racing rig, had to help him rearrange his office to even fit it>buy him the racing humble bundle with all the good racing games (assetto corsa, rally and all that jazz)>total times used>onceI get him though, he has cervical problems and can't handle fast moving games like FPS or similar and also never has any free time to enjoy it anyways. He did use to play a lot of PS1 though, Resident Evil 1, Silent Hill, that kind of shit
>>728920159He's an old fart and mostly just plays online poker, but I've seen him try (and fail) to beat the OG Prince of Persia.
>>728920159He's actually pretty good at old Command and Conquer games like Tiberian Sun.
>>728920159All the tomb raider, when he's bored of official it's some random TRLE level.
>>728920159He's dead. The only game he ever played on a computer was chess, but back in the day he recorded us a custom speech pack for Worms 2 which was funny.
>>728920159He played pilot wings 64 and Mario kart when I was a kid, don't think he's played a videogame since then.
