You basically play as one of three mercs who are taking advantage of the country being taken over by a new strongman. There are a handful of factions from other countries/alliances that want to shape North Korea for their own ends. You can work for whichever ones you want. You end tearing around NK blowing shit up for money to advance their interests. Second game has you running around Venezuela. You end up helping a guy there become the new president, but then he refuses to pay you and tries to kill you. So you start up your own PMC to get revenge. Just like the first game there are multiple factions you can work for who want to shape the country for their own ends

Being something other than the standard chosen one jedi hero was one of the few things keeping me playing up to that point, they just decided it was too much work and turned BH into a jedi with a gun, presumably the same happens to the spy, trooper and scoundrels too.

Whatever you might want a mercenary game to have, Quasimorph already has it. Lots of guns? Smuggling? Power armor? Your own ship? Contracts? Syndicates? Drugs? Seeing demons in your peripheral vision due to untreated PTSD after that time you had to eat human flesh to survive in a jungle outpost? Quasimorph has it all.
