No it definitely effects the game when you're just walking around. My FPS is now over 100 when it hovered 70-80 during some of the heavier sections

Hair rendering is one of the weakest aspect of modern graphics though. High poly models is the biggest sin in modern games. It's a waste when Unreal Engine 5 can't even render realistic lighting. Every game looks like claymation.
