>i'm new to environmental storytelling and what's this?Nah man, it's a lost art.
Rainworld I guess. They don't tell you shit.
More like don't ask don't tell. Because OP is gay, lol.

Quite frankly it doesn't have that deep to say to begin with, but later entries, more prominently at the start of the Return to Dreamland era, would introduce more talkative antagonists & side characters. It has its pros and cons, but there's a lot of charm to the former's approach.I don't need a lore book to tell what Dedede is like, his 2 cutscenes encapsulate everything there is to know.

>>728928123https://youtu.be/gvECQlxrhbwI don't think there's a word of dialogue in Gris. It's all atmosphere. You slowly piece together the story as you go. There's a secret ending that fully reveals everything, but by the time you've unlocked it you've probably pieced the main details together.

>>728928123https://youtu.be/F-RyxYcxSQ4Sayonara Wild Hearts is all arcade-style action, overwhelming style, and catchy music. The "story" is dropped on you with a few sentences at the start and end and the rest is delivered in the level design, the music, the enemies you fight, and in the meaning of some tarot cards that pop up now and then.
