I personally like them but it's entirely down to preference. Your eyes adjust and you don't even notice. I don't think I'd get one for anything smaller than 32" mind you.

Mine is QD-OLED but they can use any type of panel.

Same here, got a 34" ultrawide QD-OLED and it's gorgeous. The curve helps make the whole screen feel more natural in your field of view, especially with peripheral content. VA panels have come a long way too, but yeah, if you're into competitive FPS you'd still probably want something with lower input lag like an OLED or fast IPS.

Curved is only useful for ultrawide and up. Pointless for 16:9.
