Maybe turn-based RPGs are the future.

You don't have to constantly pay attention, you level up / make progress, it's flashy, you can have romances, etc.

I would very much enjoy a traditional CRPG set in the Elder Scrolls, since Bethesda clearly seems incapable of having actual ROLE PLAYING in their role playing games. That would be sweet
