Their only missteps in the modern era have been:>Sucking off RE & MH's teats while their other IPs languish or get scraps>Falling for the "remakes replace the originals" meme at least until GOG convinced them people want to play the originals regardless>Trying to fit open world games (DD2 & MHWilds) on RE Engine which caused both to run like dogshit (on top of the games themselves being ~6/10s that don't live up to their predecessor even if you can run them in part due to the focus on the world over the content/pacing)I'll take RE Engine Capcom over full-on outsource-happy Capcom from late 7th gen/early 8th gen that nearly tanked itself due to listening to Inafune's advice even after he bailed.>>728930937Kunitsu-Gami is the best Capcom game in nearly 15 years. GnG Resurrection is excellent. MM11 & DMC5 are near (but not at) the top of their series in terms of quality. SF6 is a massive step up from V in all ways but the number of costumes (and V only got so many in a mad dash to keep the game afloat when it sucked). It remains true that every single G Rank MonHun is great even if it's very possible that Wilds will break the trend, but Stories 2 is good at least and Stories 3 looks even better. Shitty progression aside Exoprimal was very fun.
