It just takes too damn long to finish games, there's so many cool and interesting things to play, so many different genres and times in gaming history to experience, even cutting off a fraction of it is a tall order. You could probably spend the rest of your life playing a single gaming system if you wanted to, given it has a sizeable enough library. It's impossible to play everything you know or are interested in. It's a curse to learn more about gaming because all it means is you learn about more shit you will probably never get around to playing.
