So, i want to play skyrim vanilla and ended up going though the the Arthmoor rabbid hole and know that i can't trust the UPAfter digging around a little i found out that Skyrim special edition is perfectly without it, well not exacly perfectly but it's manageableAnd then i found out about the creations club shit that they've put on special edition and it has no way of disabling, there's mod thatsort of do that, but you just can't play skyrim vanilla on special edition even if you just download the game, it's going to be modded by defaulton top of that, the game itself has a completely different art style to it, from gray and dark to fortnite pallet.Ended up going full autism mode and bought the original Legendary edition and it sent me back to step one, the fucking UP from that retard. Can i play this without this shit or it's impossible? i just want a original vanilla experience.
>>728933579VR with the VRIK that adds a player body
All you do in Skyrim is follow the marker, kill things, loot things and change your gear for better ones you pick up along the way. Do mods actually do anything to change this? Are ther mods for stories, RPG mechanics, combat mechianics ect that actually make it into a fun game?
>>728933579Why the fuck would you play the out of date 32bit LE, when you can just disable all the Creation Club shit from AE/SE? Seems like you have the retard subtype of autism, instead of the useful kind, sorry OP.
>>728933719I don't care about finding the meaning of life my guy, i just want to play one shit old game on it's original intended way to play.If you like playing with mods on your first playthough, cool, i don't.
You don't
>>728933853this
>>728933823You can't just disable it Retarded-kun.
>>728933959Just untick the plugin files and they won't be loaded. AE is just the Special Edition with the version number pumped up. If the prettier weather really bothers you, it can likely be modded back as well. Seems like you should have 'looked into' it a bit more, dumbfuck.
>>728933959Not that Anon. AE comes as a separate install, like DLC. So you just uncheck it on steam, then reinstall the game. You no longer have AE or any of the creation club crap that comes pre-installed with it. So yes, you can disable it. SE? Obviously you can't disable that, its a version of the game that was available for purchase.
>>728933579>After digging around a little i found out that Skyrim special edition is perfectly without it, well not exactly perfectly but it's manageableThe only real issue I've had fixed by the unofficial patch is the spell book on the shelf when you first enter Fort Dawnguard.Without the patch, the spell book is under the floor and there's no way to grab it. The patch puts it on the shelf instead. It is entirely possible it was purposefully put under the floor because it's the ONLY sun-damage restoration spell you can get if you join the vampire side. (With the patch)Without the patch, joining the Vampires locks you out of all of those "Templar/Paladin" style spells. That could be intentional.
>>728934179>>728934223Thanks, didn't know that because i only have LE and SE.About the LE version, no one is talking about it but can i beat it without it, or am i gonna get softlocked eventually?
>>728934238Yeah, this kind of stuff that takes me off installing this shit, UP made too many changes to the base game for me to trust it
>>728933579download a non SE version idk what the problem is.
>>728933579>bethesda game >unmoddedThe only one you can do that with and not want to kill yourself is Morrowind
>>728933579>unmoddedJust use this and strip out any gameplay changes.https://dragonbornsfate.moddinglinked.com/
>>728933579As long as you're on steam, you can download depots for older versions of the game. 1.5.97 is the last SE version before creation club shit was added, here's the codes if you want them. All this is doing is downloading a different (older) version of the game steam keeps archived. You'll need to open the console on steam to plug this in but after that it's just wait for it to download normally and then suspend updates for Skyrim.
>>728937608Thanks, i'll look this up.
>>728933579Interesting goal.I play "vanilla" in that it's the Special Edition. I do use the Alternate Start mod downloaded via the in game mod manager (Live another life? IDK) and honestly that might recquire the arthmoot shit idk.I do know i don't use any other mods and as for the creation club shit as long as you dont start the gay bug quest (as in don't walk over to the two saint seducer camps) I never notice the difference. What are the other mods? Fishing and survival? I kinda like those desu
>>728933579Try the LE or the Special Edition avoiding all CC content, I don't know how to have it disabled but my SE never had it activated, so there's that.Use a Purist Patch and SkyUI (which even Todd admitted is a far better alternative to the vanilla UI). I like Cutting Room Floor a lot to restore some content that was cut from the final game release.
>>728933579>on top of that, the game itself has a completely different art style to it, from gray and dark to fortnite pallet.Yea that bothers me too, but from a technical standpoint SE is superior, 64bit and way more stable than og. The one thing I figured out is to go to SkyrimPrefs.ini and disable volumetric lighting, it was added in SE and makes the entire Falkreath hold permanently covered in a thick fog. You can try fiddling with the other graphical settings there but as far as i can tell there's no way to get the original lighting back.
>>728933579emulate the xbox 360 version?
>>728939338Can i play LE without any mod? i know there's a lot o bug
>>728939692Yeah i looked that up for hours, there's no way to get the original lighting. the only way is to play LE.But LE is said to be very unstable...
>>728940468>But LE is said to be very unstable...It's not.I mostly play on SE because that's where all of the good mods are now, but I have a "Vanilla +" playthrough going on LE (Skyrim was the first game I ever bought on Steam back in 2011, so my account has both LE and SE)It's stable enough to play. I've never had it crash on me. (Granted, that's with only like five mods total)The biggest issue I have with LE is the Z-Fighting on the mountains in the distance. It's constant. There's also the issue of needing to edit a text file if you're playing at higher resolutions than 1440p.If you don't remove one single mention of the phrase "Level_Up" from your Translate_ENGLISH.txt file, then you'll have "Level Up" in bold white letters stuck on your screen permanently. The fix is easy. You literally just replace two words with a space in the text file, but still.
