I think FGC players do themselves a disservice by trying to tell people that these games are just pick up and play and you can enjoy the game mashing or doing basic bnbs. it's definitely a lot more frustrating than they let on.I don't think they should change really. The story was cool and canon and the music is top notch. Holy Orders III and Diva till this day are pure kino. It's impossible to get into them. Asking someone to get into fightans is like asking someone to get into DOTA2. And even dota which has orders of magnitude more players still has you playing against bots for your 1st 100 hours. The FGC is like 500 people globally fragmented over dozens of games but they're VERY loud and have millions of people that watch their content despite not having played a game in over a decade or have never played but just like the 'vibe' of the FGC

Honestly I think it comes down to the fact that no fightan games have voice chat. I love playin TF2 and Deadlock and a big part of that is fun interactions in voice chat, which really breaks up the monotony and makes matches more memorable.
