Like many political hangers-on, he was basically a well-cared-for pet. But Yasuke likely didn't get a say in the matter, and probably enjoyed his life in Japan better than being a slave for the Dutch (even Christian missionaries).His main qualities we know of are: big and black. Which in Japan, especially feudal Japan, could very well mean he was what we consider to be a very average sized Black guy.
Yasuke clearly was grateful to Nobunaga considering that he apparently tried to fight some troops after his master died.

Playing this now and its quite solid with immersive mode on that dubs the game in mix of Japanese and Portuguese, the lip syncing is somehow better than in Tsushima.People really over exaggerate how bad the cutscenes are, all the pre rendered ones are fine its just the in game ones where you can skip each portion of dialogue that are in-game that are lacking and even then they're comparable to something from The Witcher 3 in terms of animations.No problem with Yasuke himself but the choice to have 2 completely different characters was one of the worst decisions, Naoe is extremely weak outside of stealth and Yasuke feels cracked in combat.
