You get all the tankiness early with blessed armor, AND they revamped the magic system so you’re not just swinging a sword with a glowy aura. Paladin spells scale way better now too, especially Light Beam and Shield of Justice - those things actually smack. Plus the holy sword progression has a real sense of weight behind it, feels well-earned. Just don’t expect to faceroll early game, still gotta pick your fights.
