Sonic Team, and Sega, were blinded by the lack of popularity for Sonic in Japan, and thought it'd be just okay to not make a high-end launch title for their new Sega Saturn console. That """"Sonic""""" fucking Team could spend their time and energy in the Saturn generation not making a goddamn Sonic game. This was back in the fifth gen too. Don't tell me they couldn't pop a game out in one to two years.
