It's nice. Feels like a fantasy zone.
>>
at least until the naga drained all the water for poorly explained reasons
>>

If I remember correctly it was because they wanted to control the planet through controlling the flow of water, but also something about creating a new well of eternity?

Really the entire plot in BC is nonsense

True
I don't know what they were thinking with any of it

Man. WoW used to have so much soul. Like WoW used be OOZING with soul. It actually hurts to look at this.
>>
>>728957171
They weren't, just like Vanilla had no plot
>>
>>728956979
>Illidan hides in Outland because by being within the twisting nether he can sustain his demonic powers
>plans to use all the water to create a new well of eternity (he kept drops from the original well)
>somehow this doesn’t make sense
You can literally see the nether magic shit starting to funnel into the Coilfang Reservoir. Illidan’s M.O. is getting as much “power” as possible because Kil’jaeden is now gonna rape his ass for real this time after failing to kill the lich king.

Name a better feeling than leveling an alt through Hellfire Peninsula/Zangarmarsh and turning in like 20 quests at once.
>>
>>728957270
The plot was.... we gonna get to level 60... we gonna get all the epic phat lewts.... we gonna record ourselves dominating people in WSG in 380p with death metal music blaring in the background. PVRE GAMING SOVL.
>>
>>728957270
To be fair it's in the name, it was supposed to be an experience about going through Azeroth so not having a proper plot didn't hurt as much as having a fucking stupid plot at least for me
>>
>>728957334
So was he creating a new well or was he controlling Outland by controlling the water flow? And why would the naga who's loyalty are to Azshara first even follow Illidan, I think this was even mentioned in BC. Lastly he never once tried to work together with the forces to Shattrath city to build up a force against Kiljaeden

i started shortly before BC and quit shortly before WoTLK so these are the zones i remember most . i do think terokkar and nagrand were prettier and more iconic than zangrarmarsh.

i do wish there was something new and as-iconic as those areas in 2025. where is the new mmo using new tech that is to gaming what WoW was to gaming in 2005?
i honestly thought we'd have a super-immersive VR MMO with like 30 mil playerbase by now

Yeah it was for control
>Really the entire plot in BC is nonsense
As much as it was a great expansion in terms of features and mechanics, yeah, it is not strong in terms of plot. The alliance and horde have little reasons to derp around at large, blood elves do though.
It is a plotline in which they dont have much place, as adventurers that get into it all with the naaru and their BE and goat allies that turn on illidan it is better.

Nope, sorry, best we can give you is WoW Classic

Any TBC private server around? I'm dyyyying for one

I dont think Naga are a mindless monolith. Second, I don’t think Vashj’s naga saw any particular ideological conflict with Azshara by creating a new well… it’s probably something her scheming conniving self would approve of.
Also, strictly speaking, the draining of Zangarmarsh was for a new well. NPCs etc didn’t know this at first and speculated the naga just wanted the water because they’re fish/crocodile people.

>So was he creating a new well or was he controlling Outland by controlling the water flow?
I mean the well IS a fucking massive magical nuclear power plant that can turn the ape tier retarded high and night elves into actual people of note
>And why would the naga who's loyalty are to Azshara first even follow Illidan, I think this was even mentioned in BC
Wasn't Azshara still sleeping by then? IIRC the whole deal with Illidan is also very similar to what happened to the naga originally I guess
>Elves are dying
>A strong elf nigga with fel connections saves the race
>They seethe about their new situation and do stuff
>The said elves are dying again
>Repeat

>And why would the naga who's loyalty are to Azshara first even follow Illidan
They werent at that stage.
>Lastly he never once tried to work together with the forces to Shattrath city to build up a force against Kiljaeden
Neither part was particularly interested? They didnt see illidans shenanigans as slmething they wanted part kn and he sure wasnt going to stop. To them he was just another fel power.

true. Vanilla WoW and the leveling in BC was peak.

Orcs absolutely had a reason to derp around, they got to reconnect with their homeland.
>>
>>728957779

I thought Azshara was the one who turned the naga into what they are in the first place thus saving them from magical genocide

the whole idea is IMO retarded why would i wanna play an old version of the game

the only game which kinda scratched my itch for a bit was guild wars 2 during heart of thorns. really loved it's world questing and leveling experience where every zone has it's own looping event with a story and every time you go to that zone it looks a big different and is in a different stage of it's event. but even that was like 10 years ago but where is the next-gen ultra-ambitious full immersion mmo?

huh? Because it's a fundamentally different game?

retaded idea if the game is bad make it better dont just revert to an old version. the only reason to roll back updates is if they have security/stability flaws or totally break the game in some way
