The “intrigue” of unmasking and dispatching the side story groups was also a gigantic waste of time. The setting and graphics were the selling points. I feel sorry for my wife Naoe. She deserved a better game. It would have been fine if Yasuke was just an NPC who showed up a few times. She could have easily carried the game on her own. The stealth in Shadows is easily the best it’s ever been in an AC game (not saying much but still.) Stealthing through castles during winter nights was comfy.
