The most mid franchise of all time. The closest gaming has ever been to the phrase "jack of all trades, master of none". There's NOTHING outstanding about these games.

San Andreas was a wild ride and had a great map. IV had a gritty realism that actually added some general difficulty. The rest are worth playing once but I wouldn't go back to them.

Gta5 is some of the most enjoyable driving and flying in any game I've played. I've played dozens of hours just cruising or flying around

That's red dead though

San Andreas is one of my favorite comedies when we're talking about videogames. They say some really quotable stuff that I say irl sometimes.

All of this describes GTA SA.

this also applies to the Total War series. They are both successful since no one else is able to do their formulas better.

Yeah, nah. They are mid by today's standards after decades of other games trying to copy them. Not saying GTA is a masterpiece but every main installment was pretty groundbreaking and set the standard for its time.

You are either very young or have a terrible memory

The best one is the IV era of GTA because they were actually putting effort into their games from IV to CTW. But unfortunetly, all of that got wasted because the GTA fandom is made up of retards who buy low effort slop like GTA V.

I like GTA for the comedy and IV was alright in that area. I don't if it was intentional, but doing a helicopter ride with Brucie in front of a building saying "get a life" made me chuckle and also close the game to go outside. Really funny stuff.

the gta games have some of the worst gunplay in gaming, in the ps2 era all weapons feel like shit
this is why bully is the best rockstar's game, the weapons were actually fun there

GTA 4 gunplay feels punchy at least.

Gunplay in GTA didn't get good until IV, but was very passable on the PSP games.
