The anime really built this dude up only for me to kill him like I would kill any other random bum lmao.
>>
>>728979586
The game isn't canon.
>>
>>728979630
He is more difficult now, for most builds.
>>
youre lined with more silicon than any average human could be due to you having two minds of psychological RAM to play in. Its more of a humanity vs pure steel fight than it is thinking V is some squishy nobody vs a legend.

Even David loses in the anime because he has no direct advantages whatsoever and chimps out. But even then it is a pretty difficult reach to say that anything V does within the story displays that any part of his endgame build is enough of a skillset to take down Adam. I suppose you just have to let it lie as a gameplay contrivance that it is. Adam is only one person, V is technically two- regardless of how fast Adam thinks he is V necessarily has twice the processing power.

i dont think i care too much its not like we have hours of Adam footage fighting Maxtac or Corpo Wars to make it look unreasonable that he shits on 2 teenagers and a Rockerboy but loses to a cybercaked streetshitter like V
>>
>>728979713
He's definitely more visually impressive but he's still a bit disappointing given his pedigree and the fact he's the only dragoon in the game for some reason.
>>
>>728979586
mods fix it

I get what you're saying and it's cool an idea but it's not very satisfying desu. Like, if they had played around with that concept and made it more of a theme to the battle and your rivalry with him, it'd be awesome. Instead you just see him once or twice then you kill him and it's done, doesn't really try and make you think about anything he's just as much a jobber as that one random ninja guy in the parade.

Everyone avenges her.

why didn't V save rebecca and david and lucy?
>>
>>728982157
the only ending that even touches on it is the one where you take the acceleration pill and ride in with Johnny to do it solo. All the other endings you just take a friend.

Seeing the ghostly silver arm the entirety of the raid in that path is about as thematic as it gets but they already did that earlier so it doesnt hit as hard. I got more emotional whiplash from the V/Evelyn situation because it stank of the Johnny/Alt situation when i got to it and thats only because Evelyn mentally damaged me separately from the actual given narrative
>>
>>728984515
Yeah most of the endings, actually.. most of the story in that game is pretty middling desu. It seems like they kinda got what a cyberpunk story should but didn;t understand you're meant to be conveying something across.
>>
>>728979713
I just finished the game for the first time a few days ago and I was surprised how easy he ended up being despite being a pure katana build and not using the slo mo implant. I had to pay attention but he wasn't particularly tough. I was on hard, would the highest difficulty had been much harder?
Never watched the anime btw, how is it?
>>
>>728983798
he was in Atlanta in the time in canon.
>>
>>728984935
shit, I'm a filthy drunk european, I don't know where it is
I think it's a state
>>
>>728984781
yeah i feel like i immersed myself in what they DIDNT give me- it was very strange for me. River being what they envisaged and him attempting getting closer to V while im staring directly at his single mother sister in the sweatpants who lives in a trailer. Judy going off about how shes a terrible friend while im thinking about how vile Evelyn was and how strange it is that i still wouldve sacrificed Judy 100 times to save her because id long accepted how shit everyone around me was. i only found out Turbo Corposlut #2 was killed after you failed her plan with the Maelstrom after i finished the game and that also filled me with a sense of noir detective disappointment.

Its like I created my own narrative subtext out of the mediocre cyberpunk they actually did because i was familiar with the genre.

>>728980046
>youre lined with more silicon than any average human could be due to you having two minds of psychological RAM
No you're fucking not, in canon you only have like a week tops to chrome up, the healing required alone for a single operation would be that long.
V somehow beat Smasher with barely any chrome at all. Which is impossible by the way, it's simply shitty writing.

City. its some other cyberpunk shithole in Cyberpunk 2020. next game is apparently in Chicago so there are going to be further questions of "Why didnt [Night City Character] do anything?" and the answer is gonna be because they were in Night City at the time and the next anime is going to be "Because [Chicago Protagonist] was in Chicago at the time"
>>
>>728985181
every single cyberware slot is likely filled by the time you get to Adam Smasher. thats not barely any chrome regardless of how much you want to argue about canon. "You actually dont have all of those augments in canon" is a nonsense thing to argue and i wont be doing it.
>>
>>728985303
Hey dickhead, how do you propose the player character REPLACE THEIR ENTIRE SKELETON within a fucking week?
This might be a shock to you but Cyberpunk humans do in fact need time healing from operations.
>>
>>728985242
Oh, all I heard about Chicago is that they play "fireworks or gunshots", I have american friends added on steam and one of them told me about that shit
The cyberpunk city is a shithole, I assume the whole world is like that, but it's nice to see that Chicago is still the same crap. The place I live in isn't any better, you can get stabbed at night, but they don't have guns at least I guess.
>>
>>728985174
Exactly! I'm not very familiar with the cyberpunk genre apart from the broad obvious strokes. Beating 2077 encouraged me to try reading and learning about some of the genre though because I could see how interesting CERTAIN things surrounding the story were.
>>
>>728984997
Atlanta is the capital city of Georgia (the US state). Night City is a fictional independent city state thing that became somewhat important up after America fell apart.
>>
>>728985181
its closer to a few months at longest, you get messages from Judy thanking you for the "last couple of months"

you are wrong, seethe about it.
>>
>>728985645
You literally get told days, weeks tops. Lmao.
>>
>>728984895
game in general is a cakewalk unless you are playing on the hardest difficulty. even then it's easy to brake.
>>
>>728985827
Ah maybe I should replay it on the highest difficulty then if I get the DLC. I was genuinely shocked I had as good of a time with the game as I did. I expected something kinda lame and yet ended up really enjoying it.
Since they developed it too, how are the Witcher games?
>>
>>728985914
the first one is very RPG heavy. the combat is kind of weird. it's semi-open world, the zones are split by the story chapters.
the second one is pretty much a 3rd person action game with a few RPG elements. it came out too early for me to say it's influenced by the souls series but there are some similarities. can be kind of difficult if you can't get good with the combat mechanics. the game is generally remembered for how much your choices can change individual playthroughs, but the game is short so that's kind of cheating.
the third one is just an open world RPG. it's a very high budged 3rd person oblivion clone done right. depends on how much you've been burned out by open world games design - you'll spend a lot of time riding your horse, collecting plans, doing meaningless shit.
>>
>>728979586
He's pretty hard on hard mode.
>>
>>728986281
Interesting. I think I have all of them sitting in my steam library so I'll have to give them a shot. I've heard they take place after the original novels, right? With 1 picking up right after where the last book ends? I wonder if the books would be a fun read.
>>
>>728984895
>Never watched the anime btw, how is it?
I personally thought it was pretty good but if you don't want to watch it Adam Smasher smokes the entire crew in the anime like it was nothing he's strong. So it's kinda not surprising threads pop up sometimes questioning V and Adam smashers strength levels. I thought the boss was pretty easy even on very hard
>>
>>728986407
haven't read the books. I just know the author hates the games because he sold the rights for pennies, thinking video games are a joke, and now he's mad he didn't get rich off it. when people think the Witcher, they think the games, not the novels. but yeah, the game takes place many years after the novels. and Geralt has amnesia so you don't need to worry about missing on any plot.
>>
>>728986498
I did already know that in spoilers, which from the tiny bit of reading I did about the tabletop setting seems fairly in character. V getting crazy strong in what is probably a short time in universe does make it seem like he wouldn't be able to suit enough to compete. At the same time, it could be that he's just naturally good at what he does which I think is acceptable enough of an explanation, sort of a David/Goliath thing.
>>
>>728985181
>in canon you only have like a week tops to chrome up,
>in canon
i.e. I hallucinated it to cope with the game being shit.
Not even the polacks at cdpr give a fuck and instead of having some sort of theme about making what little time you have left and using it properly, thus encouraging re-PLAYING the fucking VIDEO GAME they pander to braindead normalniggers on facebook and xitter showing off the product of 700 hours spent playing dolls in photomode and whatever Roach Race and contra bootleg
>>728986407
The books are YOBA pulp fantasy for miserable slavs, they weren't translated into English or any other western language until the games came out because they're just not that good.
>>
>>728986590
If we just go by the Don't fear the reaper ending alone, I'm guessing V just said fuck it and stormed Arasaka tower with nothing to lose. I think V being able to handle more chrome with the relic, already an experienced edge runner, and having nothing to lose gave him the edge? Honestly I'm still not sure how V did it but there's even the endings where Johhny does it himself to consider too
>>
>>728985374
why am i the dickhead because youre too autistic to deal with going into a ripperdoc and having an endoskeleton implanted? stop replying to me you neurotic cunt, fucking hell i already told you im not arguing with your shit mental capacities
>>
>>728987824
>People can just get up the next day after having their fucking skeleton replaced
Lol, LMAO EVEN!
>>
>>728979586
i really like this type of cyborg body horror but i don't want to play cyberpunk
are there any other games/manga/movies with this sort of stuff?
>>
>>728988542
Robocop?
>>
>>728985374
V is just built different. But really, I assume that ripperdoc medicine is just good enough for synthetic temporary muscle fiber, blood replacements, and immune system / nerve suppressants cover all the pain and inflammation. So it would suck, but if V is really on a time crunch, just like David, they should be capable of getting a move on maybe the next day or week. I also just assume that V got all his implants before chipping in Johnny.
