do you think cloud services (like Geforce Now) will be the main way many people play games in the future?
>>
Won't work in the US with our shitty internet infrastructure.
>>

not in the foreseeable future
>>
maybe normies because they play movie games but delay input is a fatal flaw
>>

normies are the main target of publishers now, not you, me, or anyone else treats gaming like a hiobby.
Xbox is already making the move to eliminate their console division and move completely to cloud/streaming.
normies don't care about gaming. to them it's a waste of time and something they do once in a while, like the softball dad who dusts off his PlayStation once a year to play half way through the new GoW before forgetting about it until the next year. Or, the soccer mom who fucks around on her animal crossing island for a couple of hours here and there.
THAT is who publishers cater to now and couldn't care less about physical vs digital, this console vs that console, AMD vs nVidia, indie vs AAA.
it's over. it's only a matter of time.

California has great internet infrastructure I don't even live in a city and 2 gig fiber is 50/mo

Doubt, those retards, can't boil the frog slowly
>>

Yes. In the next 5 to 10 years, there will be no more consoles. Everything will be cloud based.
>>
>>728982258
the fact that Geforce Now have "day passes" is probably the biggest proof that most people only play games occasionally
>>
>>728981764
console hardware sales are dropping alot in america, it will not take a long time imo
>>
>>728982727
Agreed. And, now look at smart TV's. My Samsung came with Xbox Cloud already installed. All I have to do (if I had a Game Pass account) is log in, connect a controller and go at it.
That really is the future, well that and mobile. I really believe mobile will continue to grow as well - especially as phones get more and more powerful.
The way I see it, the future of gaming will be
>Cloud streaming
>Mobile

Nah people will just fully move to mobile.
