Yo uncs, ever tried out this little trick for your brown and bloom nostalgia?

>blue light filter glass
normal sun glasses do that, blue filter are transparent
>>
i have a shop and the newer "daylight" lightbulbs look and feel unnatural; like you're in some kinda hospital or other institution.
they also changed the lights outside to some bright light and i like it because it makes it easier to shoot a bad guy at 50yds

>they also changed the lights outside to some bright light and i like it because it makes it easier to shoot a bad guy at 50yds
Those things lower visibility because of the contrast. The groids just hide in the pitch black between the blinding white.

I've noticed tons cranes fishing at night and other day birds flying around, more so than during the daytime (probably because they're concentrated under the lit areas). We're fucking up big time with the LED shit.

Change the bulbs to warmer LEDs. Like regular bulbs LEDs also come in different brightness and temperatures. Or actually you can mix warm and cool LEDs to create a middle ground and only replace half the lights.

And? The sun is actually white. It's just that light filters through the atmosphere.

super white lights lower overall visibility by killing your night vision
>>
>>728983957
>The sun is yellow/orange.

When it's close to the horizon, when it's overhead it's white. Or rather all of our paint is calibrated for when the sun is overhead. Look outside on a day when everything is covered in snow and when the sun is out, it's blindingly white.
>>
>>728984151
Our sun is a mix of the entire spectrum, yes, but it leans yellowish.
>>
>>728984398
Snow looking white confirms that the sun is yellow, unless you're one of those schizos who believe the sky being blue is a social construct and it's actually shades of grey all year around (they exist).
>>
>>728984582
If that were true then water would look white under sunlight instead of blue (and no it's not blue because it's reflecting the sky).
>>
>>728983957
The sunlight out in space is actually just plain white. I assumed it was very slightly yellow but nah it is literally just a flat white. When it gets filtered through the atmosphere it takes on a tinge of whatever the sky above you is.
>>
All the white lights are actually green. all the white stars? they are green, but our eyes perceive it as white because we evolved to view a certain color spectrum, due to the constant yellow light from the sun.

I thought I was the only autistic fucker who did this and then I bought some new light bulbs today and instead of an LED at the bottom, they have two strips of them inside aligned like the filaments of an incandescent, and one strip is white while the other is yellow. I respect their attempt but the white one completely overpowers the yellow one.

This. I wear anti-glare blue light piss filter sunglasses, faded with the darkest amber available. They costed like $300 but I can't drive at night without them. Even then LED lamps and cars are too bright, as bright as the reflection of the sun during midday. I wear 2 pairs of sunglasses and despite eyes not hurting the visibility is still shit, because the contrast goes to shit so dark looks uniformly grayish between some of the glare that is still visible. Also, I don't know what LEDs have that end up piercing the piss filter so they still look white anyway.

I don't know what shithead politicians and contractors think, People simply drive more carefully and see quite better on unlit highways. Heavily lighted highways cause fatigue and everything looks the same. It's fucking hell. Also I miss seeing stars in the sky.
>>
>>728984427
If you examine the sun's radiation outside our atmosphere, most of the light emitted is actually blue-green,

Why do you think it's retarded? I need a darker tint than a single pair provides. Also sometimes I need polarization, sometimes not. I wish round glasses which you could adjust the angle of the polarized lenses existed.

You're misinterpreting the chart. The X axis of the chart is the length of the light, while the Y axis is the amount of each type of light. The amount peaks in the blue region, and the amounts get progressively lower as you move towards infrared and beyond, where radio waves and the like are found.
>>
>>728986274

>I don't understand soul.
It's called being hylic, my condolences. The rotten yellow, or amber as normal people refer to it, is related to ancients times when the only thing humans had to drive darkness away was fire. Fire spelled safety and warmth in cold night and city bathed in amber color evoke feeling of safety and comfiness in most people. Cold white light evokes hospitals, institutions, job and anything that is not feeling like 'home'.

Honestly a lot of stores use obnoxiously bright lighting, and it does give some people headaches. Flourascent lighting has become obsolete. It's rare to see buildings still using it. I can understand people having to wear special glasses indoors if they're sensitive to light.

You look retarded wearing sunglasses indoors, honestly you'll look retarded wearing any kind of non-normal looking glasses indoors. You could wear those "gamer glasses" with the yellow lenses; you'll still look like a jackass. Do gamer glasses even work? I almost bought a pair, and upon reading the reviews a lot of people said it worked for them. All it does is block blue-light so you don't get headaches as easily or can stare a computer/screen for a longer period of time. They market them to "gamers" but it's no different than buying normal blue-light blocking glasses.
