Forever trying to scratch that MMO itch and I've never played Final Fantasy XI before should I take the plunge with it being on sale for quite a bit?

Modern FFXI can be easily soloed, and you'll be forced to because most of the remaining players are all on the same few servers and the rest are multiboxing. If you're looking for an actual MMO experience, try a private server. Its worth playing retail for the full story though.

Dont do it through steam and start with the free trial (I know there is one and it sucks but its better than nothing)Easy to lose 15,000 hours to it.
