I got a job as a programmer about a year ago, and my gaming time dropped like a rock. It was like playing a convoluted puzzle game every day, leaving me mentally exhausted by the end of the day. Gaming on top of that didn't feel refreshing.I think I'm at a point where it's no longer as demanding since I've learnt the ropes, but it's still has that puzzle game feel which poisons the daily capacity somewhat for me. I mostly just read manga instead.

Kids go to bed earlier than adults so you get 2-3hours free each night, and the other parent can "take a shift" so you get more time on the weekend. It's probably the worst way you could possibly spend your time aside from, like, drugs or some shit. I still browse 4chan for hours every day and it's completely miserable 99% of the time. I only do it because doing the stuff I actually want to do is stressful and exhausting for me at this point. I'm trying to make it a point to spend my time more wisely moving forward but it's still an immense struggle for me.
