If this one obstacle could be removed, I would have much more time to work on the game and the game's development would go much faster.
The problem is... e-mail. I receive an avalanche of e-mails every single day. Depending on how much e-mail I get, I spend between 8 and 12 hours going through my e-mail leaving me with no time left in the day to write code for the game.

Gabe hasn't actually worked in a serious development role on games since Half-Life 1

Gabe probably hasn't written a line of code in at least 15 years.

Do you want Half-life 3 in 2019? Or 2022? When you sent me a stupid e-mail you are actively sabotaging the game's development. If you want this game to come out faster, you should not e-mail me unless it's absolutely necessary.
