As a certified 26 year old Zoomer who has only played 1-6 and a handful of spinoffs I can say with certainty that my favorite FF game is FF5. And after that? Probably FF1, both games are incredibly replayable.

3 lands in a sour spot for me. I recognize its importance, I appreciate that without it I wouldn't have 5, but I played it after I had already played 5 and it's a game I genuinely believe is hurt by experiencing it after its successor. All I could do was compare it in my head the whole time and really, I couldn't give it a fair shake due to that. I have yet to play the Pixel Remaster of 3 which I'm told is one of the best versions of it, so maybe that'd change my opinion but I'm not rushing to it.
My favorite spin-off is either Dissidia or Dimensions (god I wish this got ported off of fucking phones), just for posterity.
