Is Starfield playable now? I don't want to spend 40 bucks on Steam and get a piece of shit.
>>
It sucks but if you're disturbingly obsessed with sci-fi you might enjoy it. I don't recommend it, I played it for around 400hrs

Just do what I did pirate it on release and realize it's boring asf after 30 minutes of playing then quit
>>
>>729005414
It's always been playable. It's just boring as fuck
>>
I got 300 hours out of it, but in it's current shape it's a pain to replay
>>

Todds response to "Why is Starfield so boring?"
>well in real life space is boring. have you even been to the Moon? there is LITERALLY nothing to do.
>>
>>729005414
It's better than fallout 4 but they're showing off a starfield 2.0 recently with a lot of stuff like exploration that's supposedly fixed so you might as well wait for that next year with the next DLC.
>>
>>729005414
its 24 right now and probably not worth that.
>>
>>729005414
wait until they're done done done with the game, and there's a new expansion coming out
>>
>>729005414
it's playable but forgettable
>>
Where are the sex mods?
>>
>>729005414
Get it if you're interested enough to make a thread
>>
Pirate it.
That way you can uninstall it a couple of hours in with no remorse
>>
>>729006452
if I dont care about a game enough to not buy it for 20 bucks, then I dont care enough to pirate it basically.

As someone who tried both games I have to say Starfield is definitely the weaker game to me. Fallout 4 has a consistent feeling of a post apocalyptic world at least. Starfield just felt too disconnected and uninteresting even though they're both huge step downs
>>
>>729006229
idk, the game was so lame people didnt want to mod I guess
>>
>>729006593
I like the space theme more than the post apocalyptic theme and I think the quests are way more better done. I guess it's personal preference too.

I just recently played Starfield.
It's horrifically boring, and no amount of patches, updates, and DLCs can fix it.
There's some neat shit in there, don't get me wrong, Bethesda has learned a few things over the years, but then turns right around and makes horrific mistakes.
In this game, I'd say the worst thing is that the atmosphere doesn't know what it wants to be. On one hand you got neat sci-fi stuff, then you walk into the next room and its serious try-hard realistic NASA stuff. It's not "NASApunk", it's "We can't fully commit to being one thing". If that's not bad enough, there's this tone that makes you think you're in a future that people in the 1960s imagined, it's full of hope and Buzz Lightyear corniness, but then it tries to show you that humanity still has a dark side with bad guys, but even the bad guys are lame, they aren't really bad beyond killing people.
There's also DEI stuff which sucks, women have no tits and there's non-whites everywhere. That's to be expected nowadays so I just rolled my eyes.
Also, the main mission sucks. It's literally a Rick and Morty episode of finding the multiverse. The main characters are so boring I forgot their names except Sarah and Andreja, the only marginally attractive females in the whole game.
I wouldn't waste a dime on this piece of crap.

Thanks. Yeah I'm not gonna buy it.

I'd respect the game more if they actually made random moons have nothing on them beyond resources to find and extract. Instead they all have evenly spaced bases full of bandits just like every other moon and planet in the game.
But that's the whole game really, ideas and mechanics that could have been good had they had any actual vision, but are instead watered down garbage
>>
>>729007915
Yes you will, you lobotomized cattle. You love throwing your cash and time away on games that you know are bad. Just like the rest of these idiots who bought the game.
>>729006452
Except this guy. He's based.
