I thought picrel was just a meme game, but I picked it up and it was actually a lot of fun. The dialogue was witty and the JRPG elements were pretty solid, plus it wasn't too long either.

Where did her movie go? It just evaporated after that trailer...
>>729010078>is it before or after the invasion of RussiaYou can play campaigns as basically every nation involved in the Napoleonic Wars but there are some pre-made campaigns with specific goals where you play some of Napoleon's most famous campaigns, the main one being the wars in Europe from 1805-1812 where you're expected to invade Russia.>(not sure on the exact name of the war, the main one that happens during War And Peace)The War of the Sixth Coalition is the name given to the general war that broke out after the invasion of Russia failed, Russians call it the Patriotic War of 1812
>>729010253Right, War and Peace details the initial invasion of Austria, and the peace talks between Tzar Nicholas and Napoleon, and then the full blown invasion and flight from Moscow. It ends IIRC with the French being expunged from Russia (Moscow in this case), so I guess it ends right as this War of the Sixth Coalition is cooking off.
What's your favourite snowy or winter-y track from a game? Mine is probably the snow theme from HoMM3.

>>729010451Not that anon but it always seemed so repulsive to me when someone only starts to preach abstinence and moderation after they were degenerate for so long that they burned themselves out. Plus Tolstoy did end up kinda...special after his conversion, I heard.
>>729010647i don't know anything about him as a person, but the chapter of political predeterminism in War and Peace really resonates with me (the whole men went from west to east, then east to west section). I'm not sure if I would call it apathy, but the subtly scalding tone he takes towards the Tzar and Napoleon's delusions of grandeur of controlling and premeditating the conflict is fascinating to me. The way that I understand it, it's this idea that human politics are truly tidal, and that the figureheads just sit atop the waves as they break on the shore. According to Tolstoy, if it wasn't Napoleon, or Hitler, or Stalin, it would have been some other man or woman, just because the tides shifted that way and needed someone to top it. In one sense I think that it has a despondent air of apathy, but on the other hand I think that it is freeing, viewing things like this as inevitable as weather.
