Part of the appeal of Digimon like renamon is that she had a fairly simple but elegant design. With renamon the most complex features are her feather shoulder things and even those aren't that distracting. The arm socks also look more natural to thr rest of her design than the bandana and pants of wolvermon. Metal arms are fine because Digimon is going to Digimon.
